Love the new bright OLED screen. Compares really well with the other screens in the market. I love how the movies occupy the full screen with no black bars. I own the Pixel 7 Pro as well as my work phone and I find scrolling on this much more appealing. I love how the pictures come out in daylight, the quality is second to none. The autofocus system in insanely precise and it better be with the underlying alpha camera tech. The low light photography might need a stand and isn't something I prefer. I use the pixel 7 pro for low light shots. The audio via the headphone jack is decent. I prefer having it as an option and can continue to use my high end audiophile grade headphones. One of the key reasons for me to buying this and not the Fold 4. The interface otherwise is quite clean and simple with minimal bloatware. Highly recommended!!

Bought this to replace 4yr old Xperia XZ3 which was a great phone until the camera failed. I didn't like the fingerprint sensor on the side. My XZ3 was on reverse and naturally landed on my finger when I held it. Also the 21:9 aspect ratio of the screen is a bit of a stretch, pardon the pun. Not many apps use that layout. Not an issue because after 4 hours of use, 1. 5 of which was spent updating to latest software, the screen froze. The phone was completely unusable and had to go back. I subsequently ordered a different brand. Shame because I've had 5 Xperia phones over the last decade.

The phone is expensive. But if you can afford it or get it on sale it's absolutely worth it. Very fast, good battery life considering the specs, and exceptional camera applications. Video pro in particular is awesome - it unlocks the full potential of the hardware and the quality of the footage is remarkable. 4k HDR at 120fps looks incredible. And being able to shoot in burst with HDR in photography pro is a welcome addition too. If you own an alpha camera it pairs nicely too as an external monitor.

Love the phone and love sony phones, very impressed with it in most cases. Was hoping to wait until next model before my old phone broke so got this and happy with it but the 12MP camera could and should be better, the optical zoom works better than I expected from reviews but the range isn't great finding the 3.5x start of optical is sometimes too much but when further away the 5.2x upper limit isn't enough. While using digital zoom provides a poor quality picture - strong reason sony should have been using better lenses or high MP to help here. I'd hope all of this is all improved in later models but despite the limitations the phone and camera are rather impressive. Battery is pretty awful for a sony - I'm used to having sony phones and the phone being great with long battery life but despite 5000mAh battery, it drains so quickly doing basic phone use. For the price of the phone this is exceptionally poor with the phone not lasting a whole day unless it isn't used much. I've never had an issue with brightness but the settings on this phone require me to have the brightness set higher than past phones. Sound quality is good but if using the phone as a speaker even at full volume then this is not the loudest so you do need the volume high listening to audios etc even in quieter environments.

Upgraded from Xperia 5 iii for a larger screen. Got plenty of other improvements: * Brighter screen * Longer battery life * Faster * Zoom lens great for impromptu wildlife photography * Better sound than other phones or my XPS13 laptop Haven't noticed any overheating problems. Overall very satisfied with performance

I use this mainly for videos and the camera is actually very good. The HDR 4K videos are stunning, crystal clear with an excellent dynamic range. The big downside is overheating. After 5mins of filming the phone will be very hot, even in airplane mode, WiFi off and at lowest brightness. I have to keep a small USB fan around to cool the phone down quickly, no joke...

Replaced my Sony 1. Real improvement over an old friend. Same build quality with a much better camera and screen. finally Wi Fi calling too, Quicker at tasks, and cleearer calls too. I live in the wilds which does test technology sometimes.

Sony have refused a replacement phone insisting that the brand new phone I paid over £1000 be sent for a repair. It took me 45 DAYS to get to that point with Sony technical support during which time the return window on Amazon had expired. The phone had a faulty screen / video processor, the screen had some interference and banding when playing video and scrolling etc. Then the screen kept flashing black and going unresponsive for no reason. The phone I received was brand new and boxed and clearly not of merchantable quality, yet only a repair was offered. I am demanding a full refund, and will go back to a Samsung...

Hi hatte ein bisschen Probleme mit dem Umstellung auf deutsch, war auf asiatischer Sprache. Sonst alles ok . Accu 80 % muss man wohl durch bei einem gebrauchten Smartphone.

Il device si presenta con uno stile ed eleganza fuori dagli schemi ordinari, il formato 21:9 può farlo risultare a prima vista un po' sproporzionato, rispetto all'abitudine visiva di altri smartphone, però dopo un po' ci si abitua e si possono iniziare ad apprezzare gli aspetti che tale formato può dare come forma di entertainment (dai giochi alla visione di film in formato 4K 21:9; magari durante un viaggio in treno). A livello di ottiche la fotocamera si presenta impeccabile, anche in notturna abbastanza buona, sia per foto che per video, se si riesce ad impratichirsi con le applicazioni dedicate Fotocamera Pro e Video Pro la riuscita di fotogrammi e video risulta stupenda. A livello di reattiva dello schermo e del software rispecchia il top di gamma che rappresenta, la batteria da 5000 Mah arriva tranquillamente a fine serata con un utilizzo quasi costante, se l'utilizzo è sporadico si riescono a fare anche 2 giorni (spegnendolo la sera e riaccendendolo il giorno dopo). Per quanto riguarda i surriscaldamenti che alcuni lamentano, anche con utilizzo medio, personalmente non ne ho riscontrati (forse con aggiornamenti software li hanno eliminati) posso affermare che la versione precedente (Xperia 1 III) ne soffriva, anche con tutti gli aggiornamenti eseguiti, soprattutto durante l'utilizzo della navigazione con Google Maps e della fotocamera. Sono rimasto così piacevolmente colpito che ne ho comprato un altro, come regalo.

Je possédais un sony xperia 1 mark 1. Je suis donc passé au 4 et je ne suis vraiment pas déçu. J'ai pu observer toutes les améliorations telles que le lecteur d'empruntes qui fonctionne bien mieux en cas de mains moites et plus rapide. Le son du téléphone qui est juste extra riche. Une finition en blanc qui est franchement magnifique, je passe mon temps à le regarder. L'écran est nickel niveau luminosité et couleurs, le 120hz se voit directement dans la fluidité. L'appareil photo est franchement au top, j'ai testé en condition de basse luminosité et il s'en sort bien. Et en pleine lumière c'est parfait, les couleurs sont naturelles et contrastées, la vitesse et netteté est au top. Après le déballage, j'ai eu des soucis de fermeture de l'appareil photo pour cause de surchauffe, mais après avoir fait les mises à jour cela ne me la plus fait malgré les 28° ambiant de mon salon. Seule déception est la qualité du zoom qui est pas extra. Mais bon vu la taille du capteur il n'y a pas de miracle. L'appareil est globalement chaud mais je n'ai pas remarqué de ralentissement en jeu. Je pense que tous les téléphones équipés du 8 gen 1 ont ce soucis. Je modifierai mon avis au fil du temps si besoin. Edit : - Apres 2 jours d'utilisation, j'ai constaté un manque de stabilité audio avec les dispositifs en bluetooth 4 (pas en 5 qui va nickel). Je pense à un soucis avec android 12. En espérant qu'une maj va résoudre le soucis. - J'ai constaté une amélioration de la qualité du zoom après avoir fait les maj (voir photos)
