II don't know any numeric value. It is much quieter than the old one. It is in the basement and is inaudible.

Does it only work in 1 room or will it reach the bathroom and bedroom if strategically placed in the living room next to the hallway for a small home?

As long as air is circulating it should work fine. I have mine in an open basement

How do you adjust the humidity?

We run until it hits mid forties in humidity which is typically half plus day. The next day is up again and we run to mid 40s. Our humidity is constant daily challenge. Our humidifier does not have feature to set goal and shut off.
