This was an Amazon Warehouse deal at a very attractive price. The packaging was a mess but that was noted in the description & the knife was otherwise new & perfect. The sharpness of both blade & knife point is much appreciated. It slides through food with little resistance. There's a bit of drag. Food, especially wet & sticky food, doesn't always release easily from the blade. That's been true of every knife I've used, so I'm not holding it against the knife, but I wish the advertising didn't imply differently. The well secured knife case is much appreciated. A clever & curious toddler lives here. He's continually supervised but an additional layer of prevention is always welcome. On a different order I had to avail myself of Dalstrong customer service due to an Amazon shipping error. It's no holds barred superb. Truly excellent. This knife is an attractive & excellent product that includes an outstanding warranty which is backed up by top notch AAA+ customer service. Hence, this knife is nigh on irresistible. Please note, a warranty might *look* great, but if the company doesn't honor that warranty it's not much good. There are a plethora of famous companies who fail at customer service & honoring their warranties. IF customer service & warranties are important to you read reviews with an eye to this info. From other reviews I've read, & my own experience, Dalstrong provides superb customer service & fully honors its warranties.

Bought this for a Christmas present for a close friend and all I can say is I was very jealous after seeing it and using it! I want one! Lol

The layers and the strength of this knife are there, and its beautiful handle is easy to hold. With all of the layers there is still a good stiff flex. Transitioning hand positions is great with the eight faceted handle making control a breeze. The only downside is the little drag point at the heel of the blade, its great if you want to use it like a hook to pull meat closer but I found it catching on to many pull cuts if I didn't account for it. 9/10 would buy again. After 3 weeks it still has a good edge with some honing.

This knife has the LOOKS the FEEL and the PERFORMANCE. As with most Dalstrong knives it out performed its price. But for me... it looks sexy doing it. I'm a big BBQ guy and when I present my protein, butchering, slicing, shredding, chopping, and cutting are part of the experience. I disassembled a Spiral cut ham (actually 2 hams) for Easter this weekend in about 7 seconds flat whit this knife... now I have a Wustoff, a Zwilling and a Dexter boning knife that cost 2 or 3 times as much and could do the job just as well.... but you know what.... not a single person wants to see those knives. They all look the same. It's a good thing I made quick work of those hams, because I spent 20 minutes showing everyone the knife afterwards. Firestorm Alpha might just be my new favorite series.

Great little knife. It could be just a tad sharper though. It’s still sharp as a razor but not “ hair splitting “ sharp. Definitely worth the money.. High end product.

Knife is beautiful and balance is great. Handle is a little long. Only complaint is for the money I expected it to be sharper.

Handle felt cheap out of the box. Always hand washed. Blade broke within the first year. Don’t waste your money.
