Does this stick on carpet? Want to use it for our stairway instead of door frame.

Can velcro be applied to LVP flooring and would it mess it up when removed?

I was wondering that myself. I have an engineered hardwood floor. I read somewhere that if you heat it (like with a blow dryer) while carefully lifting it off the floor, it will not damage the underlying floor OR pull the paint off the walls on the door frames. It's a VERY strong velcro though so I'm hoping that approach works.

My door is 21x72, can this be trimmed to fit? I do not see smaller sizes. It is for a walk in closet
