Hellmann’s Fat Free Vinaigrette is the sort of dressing that turns up to a party, tells everyone it’s here for health reasons, and then quietly blends into the background. It’s tangy, sharp, and just acidic enough to make your lettuce feel like it’s been to finishing school. But let’s be honest—it’s fat free, which is nutrition-speak for “we’ve removed the flavour and replaced it with virtue.” It does the job: spruces up a salad, makes you feel responsible, and doesn’t drench your lunch in oil. But it also doesn’t make your taste buds throw a parade. Think more polite handshake than passionate culinary embrace. Still, if you’re trying to eat well and don’t want to cry into a dry tomato, this stuff helps. I poured it on a couscous salad and felt instantly like someone who owns gym leggings and uses them. I did try flicking a bit into my mullet for shine—result: unimpressive.

I like this product and often buy it but unfortunately one of the bottle’s (1 of 3) seal was broken and had leaked everywhere. This had to be thrown away, not knowing how long the seal had been broken.
