Fix the hinges and it'll be perfect
Boyfriend and I are sushi fanatics but sushi is very very expensive. So he was confused but excited when I surprised him with this ! We tried making four different kinds of rolls -- two with seaweed on inside, two with seaweed on outside. Here is how it went:The Good:- the sushi was near-perfectly rolled- my hands shake and I can still use it pretty easily (outside of assembly...). Doesn't require upper body strength yay- you can squish a lot of ingredients into your roll, esp if you ease up on rice and grate the veg- easy to use; I was nervous after reading the comments but you just insert ingredients, close, cap, push, uncap, and empty- it's dishwasher safe even on high heat- good plastic, no lingering smell- big rolls mean huge happy mouthfuls !The Bad:- the hinges !!!!!!- seriously the whole thing falls apart so easily that you've got to wrangle both halves of the "bazooka" together a million times per rollAlso pro tip if you want to apply seaweed on the outside of the roll I recommend using a bamboo rolling sheet and WETTING the seaweed as you roll it on. If you apply it inside, we just cut the sheets and kinda stuffed them on top of the rice, and packed it down with fish and veg.

Super inexpensive sushi for life!
Makes sushi super easy to make! I never thought I could do this myself but I am going to save a fortune on sushi going forward. I am vegan but love veggie sushi which isn't cheap. My sushi cost me about 95% less than my local sushi joint. Whoa. Basically cheap sushi for life. Worth every penny IMO.

Not as easy to use as I had hoped.
Bought this product after seeing a product demo on FB. I was so excited. I thought, I would be making sushi everyday for practically nothing. However, when I got it, it proved to be a bit more difficult to use than the video lead me to believe. You really need 3 hands to make it work. I have used it once and gave up. May give it as a white elephant gift this Christmas. Maybe someone else can figure it out better than me.

Neat tool for sushi assembly
Look I love me some sushi. And I love the thought of having sushi at home. I saw this advertised on Buzzfeed and thought why not give it a whirl. This is actually pretty easy to use and great to assemble sushi. The hardest part is getting the right sushi and ingredients to make the restaurant sushi you like at home. When I finally found the right rice, I loved using my sushi roller. I’ll admit this was a late night, few bottles of wine in purchase but I haven’t regretted it.

Fun for casual dinners. Everyone can roll.
This is a fun kitchen gadget. My family enjoys sushi and we thought we would try this. It looks like a rice bazooka. If you're a die hard sushi eater you won't like this and you might even find this plastic sushi maker offensive. I bought two because not everyone can use a bamboo mat but this is fun for our family of 6 and everyone can get in on making it. We now have mats, 2 rollers and 2 of these "sushi tubes." Good, cheap fun.

Creates a tube of rice that falls apart
The price point is low so it isn’t worth returning but, in future I’ll learn how to properly roll sushi or just buy it.We nade sushi rice correctly, and it extruded the rice perfectly. We were hopeful, But it all fell apart at ‘seams’Product itself was fine but not the desired result.

We LOVE this thing
We LOVE this thing. I bought this as a gift for my step daughter. My biggest advice is not to over stuff it. Also, Make the rolls ahead of time, and put it in the fridge it makes the nori paper softer and less chewy. I also did this as a dessert, I sweetened the rice with cinnamon and sugar, and then put pudding filling in and wrapped it in graham cracker. I then put it in the fridge for two hours. It was amazing

One of my favorite kitchen gadgets
This has made sushi rolls a practical dish for everyday meals! It takes a little trial and error to figure out the best amount of rice to add while making rolls. Too much rice and you have difficulty closing it after adding ingredients in the middle and it will make a mess. Too little and the rice won't stick together just right. Once you've got it down, though, it's smooth sailing!
