Where is the programming software for this radio? I can't find it anywhere.

Chirp does not yet work on this radio as of May 10, 2019 (I just tried). This radio is not in the drop down for Anytone. That said, I bought this radio but under the Midland DBR2500 part number. Midland has software on their website for the DBR2500 and I just programmed a few channels into my radio and it worked okay. Can't say for sure it will work with the AT-778UV but it's the same radio hardware wise and FCC ID wise.

I programmed my unit manually and now my unit is asking for a password? How do I cancel out the password function? I'm locked out

Default password for these radios is 1234 etc. Then go into function menu and turn off password. It did the same thing for me.

Do you think the programming cable from the 5888UV can be used on this radio for programming?

Yes, it's the same cable. I've used it on both radios. 73

Can you power this with a cigarette lighter adapter for a 12V. If so, which one or do you sell one?

Yes this one can be wired to accept a 12v cigarette adapter. But I would advise you wire this directly to a good 12v power source amd ground for good performance.
