Urban Crow Oracle: A 54-Card Deck and Guidebook Review: Getting to know these fascinating crows! - I've become a big fan of MJ Cullinane's work! I was first introduced to her Crow Tarot deck during a tarot class I was taking. I connected with her artwork and the look and feel of the deck immediately, and bought the corresponding book/journal as well. It's a helpful tool to use in conjunction with the tarot cards. A bit later I bought her Guardian of the Night tarot deck -- another favorite! My latest purchase is MJ's Urban Crow oracle deck. They have the same pleasant matte finish as her other decks, and shuffle easily. The card stock is a medium thickness and they just feel good in your hands. The artwork is beautiful and definitely recognizable as her style. I just received this deck last night, so I haven't spent any time getting to know them yet. However, I can see myself using them in conjunction with the Crow Tarot -- pulling a card at the end of a reading to close out a session. The enclosed guidebook gives a brief description for each word on the cards (i.e. Territory, Grief, Curiosity, Routine, etc.). I like that each entry also provides information about crows - their habits, traits, and mannerisms - and how that relates to the word on the card. I do agree with a previous reviewer who mentioned that the numbers on the cards are really unnecessary. They do detract from the look of the cards and the only purpose they seem to serve is that the guidebook descriptions are in numerical order. As stated, they could have just listed the cards in alphabetical order in the guidebook without the numbers. As far as I can tell, having the cards in order by their number doesn't seem to provide any logical narrative or story flow, as they do with the major arcana in tarot. I believe this artist is currently working on several new oracle/tarot decks. If the artwork and quality is similar to her decks that I already own, I can see myself adding them to my collection. Very happy with this purchase! Review: A really good oracle !!! Better than some tarot decks - Of the 4 “Crow decks” I know of, I gratefully have 3; Magick of the Crow Tarot, Murder of Crows Tarot and This, Urban Crow Oracle Deck. This is a nice lively Oracle deck. Typically, I am NOT a fan or oracle decks. I find them a bit pretentious lol. But, this one is good. It’s decent, the art is lovely, the cards feel true. I’ve rescued crows and other wild birds for decades and it does capture the essence of this animal. It is also a lovely made deck. The card stock is delightful, an oddly wide shape but whatever, stand out how you can. The art isn’t so far into the animal that it isn’t co-relatable (is that a word?!) to humans. I find it to be so. While I may not read with it on a professional level, I would say if one is drawn to it, they will not be disappointed at all. The reads are good. I will find that depth can be lacking in oracle decks, while I find that to be true, I sadly find. This to be better than most sibilant and most oracles. A step above some tarot and a step below some other tarot but certainly on a high level of oracle deck —I hope I’m making sense. I’m happy to clarify in any questions. I actually will answer them lol. Anyway 5 Stars a great oracle deck 5 stars ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️

In My Heart
Beautiful artwork and love the stock. A bit thick to ruffle. But I think it wears the cards( any card stock ) down quickly. Urban Crow is fascinating. Definitely full of energy and the messages extremely accurate. I suggest you do exactly what the guidebook says and get to know the deck( each card) first. Individually. Then jump in. I truly believe you must get to know your deck and it gets to know you and your energy. Mine were popping up all over until I paced myself down. I love them and they are part of my family now. Messages resonate. Accuracy is eye opening. Highly suggest these.

Good but only together with Crow Tarot
I got Crow Tarot + Oracle + Journal together and I quite enjoyed my 30 days Crow Journey. Pulling card a day from both Oracle and Tarot told me a few stories and helped me through quite a tough month. The Crows act like a Hermit, silently poking at important aspects of your life that you should pay attention to. I got Growth card repeatedly 7 times out of 30 days no matter how how I shuffle the deck, haha. Maybe it's coincidence, but I like to believe the Crow energy was there. That said, as a separate Oracle deck I feel like this one makes little sense. A lot of cards are weird and are not particularly separate archetypes, there is no structure or cohesive idea behind the deck. Just a lot of short but sweet moments captured by/with Crows. These cards act better as a good clarifying cards for Crow Tarot. I love when symbols from both are syncronizing together, for example Bond from Oracle + Lovers from Tarot. The production itself is not bad, cards are thick and shuffle nicely. The guidebook is small, but is a good starting point for each card and tells a lot of stories behind the ideas author had when creating the deck, I like how many cards are inspired by actual events author had and witnesses the Crows reacting to them. The art has a lot of grey, yellow and black, and it is a bit more detailed and crisp than Crow Tarot. I put 5 stars only because I did enjoy my "full experience" and investment I put into Crows, but if I had this deck separately without Crow Tarot I would say it's not a good oracle tool. There are much more better crafted decks out there.

Great deck - beautiful illustrations
I love the deck and it is worth every penny. The artwork is amazing...I only wish there was an index showing what page he descriptions of each card is on so I don;t have to go leafing through the whole book to find it. Everything else about it is fabulous.
