Conducts electricity minimal resistance, heat not as much, seems kind of soft material
This sort of makes me think of a large variac or motor brush as conducts decently though also seems kind of soft. A light scrape with razor blade or wire brush will impart damage to the piece. Could maybe be used in electrolysis or electroplating, or maybe a large resistive element somehow.
