Came with cosmetic damage to one unit, Not the manufacture's fault, that's on FedEx. After a modest refund I agreed to kept it if it worked, it did. I suggest you for-go the flared fittings if you can, they are famous for leaking, one of mine did. Since you can't buy R-410a from almost anyone, you'll be paying some "AC contractor" to fix and recharge the system. I did use the Teflon sealer on the other fittings, and they worked. Just had trouble with one fitting. If you have some DIY skills, you can buy a swedgeing tool to open one copper line then slide the other line into the swedged one, and solder with silver solder just as the AC contractor would, and then charge you, around $480, @ $80/ pound for the freon, R-410a and labor. Overall, I'm very happy with these 2 units. We went with the 18,000 BTU size just to make sure we would never have an issue keeping the house cold in the middle of summer in central Florida. We cool 1,400 square feet. I don't know the exact dollar amount for each month, to cool, but we have been very happy so-far. And the heat pump mode, heats the home very well also, we just don't need it that often because the home is very well insulated with closed cell spray foam. We run them on whisper mode all of the time (very low speed, and very quiet). If they last several years, they will be a great investment, if not, I think they will be a simple changeout. I tell people all the time, if there forced air system goes bad, consider installing these instead. I saved at least $6000 dollar's +, with these in our new home. I highly recommend this Rovsun Mini Splits.

I have been involved in HVAC since the 80s. This is a residential unit, no doubt, but it is amazing non the less. The compressor and fan on the condensor outside unit are so quiet I cannot believe it. It is also variable speed which is a major factor in the 19SEER rating. We also really like the fact the indoor evap unit stays running all night long. Sometimes in the morning the compressor is cycled completely off even when it is set at 72 indoors. I measured the voltage and current, this unit pulls right at 1750 watts at full load in 90 degree heat. This is about 70% less than my 3.5 ton Goodman that I used to run! I set a box fan in the bedroom door and it cools our entire living space. Could not be happier. One thing to note: clean the outside unit coil OFTEN. It is key to performance and cost savings. We have cottonwoods here and they plug it up in one week! I used a garden hose and it works fine.

I purchased this unit for our main heating and cooling source. When it arrived, the box had been damaged on the bottom. It was not packaged well. The cord was sticking out. It seemed okay and we had a professional HVAC technician set it up. We were having 100 degree temperatures and the heat function could not be tested at the time because it will not turn on unless it is cooler temperatures. The a/c worked fine. But now that it is cold weather we found out the heat is not working. And after 10 emails with the company they are still not helping us. The HVAC technician has been out to fix it twice. He says the outside unit is not communicating with the inside unit properly. And needs the ODU PCB part replaced. Rovsun does not carry parts. And we cannot find another part to fit our unit. The Rovsun customer support says that our power must not be set up to 230V. But it is. Our house was built 6 months ago and the power is set up correctly and specifically for this unit. The unit is still under warranty and I even purchased an extra warranty. But I’m 10 emails (they do not supply a phone number) of communication with their company in China, and I’m getting the runaround and they are saying my power is the problem. I’m not sure how I will get this resolved. Please buy with caution.

Very good unit

Temperature control in the sunroom. It's an extremely quiet unit. It makes it comfortable to be able to sit in the sunroom all day.

We bought this mini split installed it and it all went well, but it only lasted 18 months until it got a hole in the cooling condenser their warranty is 12 months. They don’t sell parts to replace it. You have to buy a whole new unit. I would not recommend this product Doesn’t last And nobody will talk to you on Customer Service. It’s all by email. DON’T Buy it!! The company finally did decide to replace the inside unit.

Came quickly, all parts there and installed fairly easy (for my husband). Works great and very happy with it

The shipment came in two parts as usual however, I received the small inside unit right on time, the compressor was 6 days late. The first package was dropped off at my house, the second one apparently needed a signature - I work for a living so FedEx didn't leave it. The "door tag" was loose laying in my driveway with nothing on it like how to recover my package. After a lot of hassle to get thru to a PERSON, they said I could pick it up at a FedEx office. 3 days later I was able to pick it up (Amazon didn't give me 2 shipping labels - only one!) When I got the unit home it was dented in 5 places and the plastic cover was broken. The installation went fine but the compressor has a rattle. When I contacted the Rovsun company they offered me $30 "for my inconvenience ". And would not send a new cover! Beware of this company!!!
