Perfect for the Acer Aspire Ethos 8951G-9600
I can't begin to tell you how many hours I spent looking for a bag that would hold at laptop this large. I could not find any backpack that I trruly felt was a guaranteed fit. Let's face it, laptops with 18.4+ screens really are desk-top replacement computers (DTRs). My machine really won't be hauled around very much simply because it is so large, I have a 15" laptop for trips, but I did still need a carry case. The Everki Advance is nothing fancy to look at. Rather plain in fact, but you really don't want to advertise that you are carrying an expensive computer in what could easily pass as a canvas briefcase. The laptop compartment is top loading. The case does NOT open up clam shell style. The opening is sufficiently wide enough that it is easy to access. Unless you laptop is grossly thick, there is also room in that compartment for papers or folders but there is not a separator such as a nylon barrier that would keep any additional items from rubbing against your laptop. The zipper is high quality with adequately sized metal sliders with built in locking loop. This compartment is sufficienty padded, but I wish computer bag makers would put double padding across the bottom and the near bottom sides of bags. Come on, that's where the impact will most likely happen. I will probably find some dense foam and create my own extra layer of bottom cushion. One side of the case has a zip open storage compartment that has five pockets for organizing small items as well as two pen slots. This compartment could be used for USB drives, external storage devices, power brick, etc. It opens up very wide, not access problems at all. Then on the front side of the storage compartment there is a scoop slot pouch with a partial velcro closure that would be used for rapid access items. Perhaps a cell phone, car keys, passport, plane ticket, etc. The opening alone for this pocket is 9-1/2 inches wide, but the usable interior dimensions of this slot pocket are 12 inches deep and 15 inches wide. Everki did not waste space with this Advance Laptop Bag.The interior and compartments are lined with an orangish nylon. It's not neon orange, but rather a brick-orange. I don't find this annoying, rather in dim lighting the orange coloring helps me find thinks that otherwise might be difficult - like trying to find a small black USB drive in the bottom of an all black lined compartment. The carry handles are a soft point. While they are strongly attached, the bridge of the handles are too soft and flexible. A more rigid design would actually be more comfortable to hand carry. But when fully loaded, few people I would think will actually hand carry a heavy 18.+ laptop and all their gear. Thus the shoulder strap. The shoulder strap anchor points on the bag itself are strongly anchored, in fact rivited, and the fixtures are solid metal - NOT plastic. Thank you Everki for the metal parts. The shoulder strap clips and hardware are also solid metal with a great feel and they don't appear as if they would accidentally be unclipped when attached. Not difficult to operate, but certainly secure. The strap is wide enough to match the bag and be able to carry the load and across the shoulder area itself is a curved ergonomic shoulder pad, another nice touch. I loaded up the bag and walked around for half an hour and yes it was heavy, but not uncomfortable.Lastly, on the back side of the bag, opposite the accessory compartments, Everki has cleverly installed a sturdy 1-1/2 strip of straping with a 10 inch gap centered. That gap is for sliding the handle of wheeled luggage through. When not is use, the gap strap is held down with a 2 inch piece of velcro. Nice touch! Fits perfect on top of my American Tourister rolling carryon.Overall, I am glad I found this bag. I set high standards and I like to project a quality image about myself, and this bag does nothing to reduce my image even as it really is pretty much simple and utilitarian. If you're in the 18.+ screen laptop arena, you're choices of bags are currently limited. I can recommend this one with no reservations.5-Stars, October 2011

Love this case! Fits my Alienware Mx17 R4! No Plastic Parts.
Summary:Pro:Fits my alienware laptop! Large accessory compartment! Large Pouch! without adding to much bulk.No Plastic parts. limited lifetime warrentyCon:Does not fit my Cooler Master 18" cooling stand. (too much to ask?)All in all:Love this case!I bought this case knowing and expecting the plastic clips for the straps. To solve this problem i also ordered some lock able carabiners so i an insure the use of the bag. And boy to my surprised it showed up at my door before i went to work. I ordered this the night before around 11 PM So this was a big surprise. (Thanks you 2 day shipping!). but when i saw the bag i was like drat, it came for anything else. (no carabiners :'( ) So the first thing i checked was the clips on the bag and to my surprised it was a metal D ring. so then i checked the strap and it was a metal hook with a spring latch. (Just like the plastic ones but heavy duty and metal.) This is great! i can test out the bag. Next up will my Laptop fit in this. To be honest this was my biggest concern since the laptops are huge even for a 17 in. It fit like a glove! couldn't be happier, I placed all my accessories except my headphones (game con need one for traveling) Keyboard and Cooling stand. It had plenty of room to spare. it could definitely fit my full keyboard but atlas not my cooling stand. but that's alright. I think i can deal with that. And i also don't need to take my keyboard since there is one built in my laptop xD. Once I had Everything in I decided to test it out i put the strap on and walked around a bit. It felt comfortable even though it was heavy but that is to be expected. I decided to also do a shake test from the straps to see if the hook would come off. Over my bed of course. Nope all was good. The materials themselves felt like it was made with quality. The zippers look like they can take a beating and are made from metal as well. I believe the padding to be suffice. Not bad for a bag that's under 50 bucks and had several bad reviews over plastic parts. Only thing left if to test longevity.

Fits a Pelican 1095 Laptop Case in the Laptop Pocket
I was looking for a way to carry the Framework 16 that would protect it against bumps and drops since it has a lot of moving parts and isn't cheap. Originally I was just going to get the Pelican 1095 case but after seeing a few people with failed shoulder straps I was second guessing that choice. It also wouldn't have any room to carry a charger or other accessories due to the size of the FW16. After seeing what other FW16 owners were using to carry their laptops I stumbled on this bag, and the dimensions of the laptop pocket mean that the 1095 would just barely fit. I went ahead and purchased both since I could return them if my idea didn't work out. This bag arrived first and it was as large as it seems from the pictures, I could easily fit my old Targus laptop bag in the laptop compartment with room to spare. The included shoulder strap is one of the most robust I've seen for any laptop bag and it has plenty of padding for carrying around heavy laptops. There isn't a lot of padding in the laptop compartment, especially in the corners, but for how I planned to use it I wasn't concerned. For anyone using only this bag to carry their laptop it's something to keep in mind that other options will offer more protection. It took a while longer before the Pelican 1095 arrived but when it did I tried it with this bag right away. Sure enough it fit in the laptop compartment and the zipper was able to close without straining though it was a tight fit. There was still plenty of room in the front pocket to carry accessories even though the laptop compartment was completely filled. I'm a lot more comfortable using my FW16 as my main laptop now since I don't have to worry about damaging it by bumping or dropping it when travelling between places. If you've got a huge laptop or want to go overkill protecting your laptop like I did this is one of the best options you can find especially at this price point.

Well constructed and good for large laptops/desktop replacement
Please keep in mind I have only had the bag for a week and I will add additional updates.Searching high and low for a large carrying case for my Acer Helios 500 (16.9 x 1.5 x 11.7" almost 9lbs) finally brought me to two choices: a backpack and this one. I went with the latter since, at my age, walking into work with a large backpack looking like a 5 year old on their first day of school was out of the question. The pockets are sufficiently large and still have a little extra room for my computer in the main compartment. I am also able to fit the power brick, mouse and a game controller with no bulging issues in the zippered side or secondary pocket. While I don't have large over-sized headphones I do believe they would fit with no problems. One complaint is that the pockets for pens, small items and USB drives is of a very thin nylon material and the quality does not seem to be as good as the rest of the bag. I can see the stitching of this area coming undone very easily after some extended use.I do like the velcro pocket on the front of the bag. The pocket itself is as large as the font flap of the bag and provides quick access to anything that you might need in a hurry, such as your phone, wallet or maybe even a tablet. The padding is excellent, although because of the large size and weight of the computer that I have, I doubt the bag would protect it from a fall. However, an occasional light bump into a table or door frame the bag should be able to easily protect the computer. The handle is stitched well and, so far, are showing no immediate signs of fraying or tearing. The clasps are made from a lower quality metal and I can see them failing eventually (due to the aforementioned weight of my particular laptop) but get the job done for now.Overall the bag is worth the money and should fit most of the larger laptops/desktop replacement computers. I hope that in the long term it will live up to my initial rating.UPDATE 02/14/2019: I have purchased a pair of Logitech G430 headphones and found that they do fit rather snugly in the secondary or side pocket (along with the other items listed previously). I know that these are probably not the largest headphones out there so other individuals may have a tough time finding the room for all of their items. This is not constitute a reduction in my rating, it is just a circumstance of my particular setup. A smaller pair of headphones or earbuds would still fit easily with no issues.

Great lightweight laptop bag
This reviews applies to the Everki Advance Laptop Bag - Briefcase, Fits up to 18.4-Inch (EKB407NCH18) which I bought to hold a 17.3" MSI gaming laptop. I bought the 18.4" case because I wanted it to hold my laptop with the mouse dongle installed. It would barely fit in the next size smaller without the dongle plugged in so I opted for this one which works great. It is a fairly lightweight case with good padding and the corners are protected but I would think that if you dropped it off a table and it hit on a corner you might still have a problem but nothing short of a hard shell or a case with metal reinforced corners is going to prevent that.It has a strap on the back so you can fit it over the handle on a wheeled suitcase and the strap has a velcro fastener in the center to secure it firmly. It is also small and light enough to fit inside a standard carry on suitcase which I often do when I have the space available inside. This case has a separate zippered pocket on one side that will hold the power brick, travel mouse, lots of cords and various other items in pockets with room for full size folders and papers. There are also pockets for a cell phone, pens, and smaller items you want to keep organized. The other side has a pocket with a velcro closure which is handy for boarding passes, etc that you need quick access to. Padding protection is good on both sides without being bulky. The zipper is large and seems durable.

Works Great for an ALIENWARE M17 R4
So, I have had this for about a year and a half, still does the job of protecting my ALIENWARE M17 R4. I use it with a liner sleeve (WIWU 17.3 Inch Diamond Laptop Sleeve Case Cover), the case, in my opinion, needs a little more padding on the bottom to protect a high end laptop but the all of the other sides have adequate padding. This laptop bag says it is for 18.3 laptops, and is the perfect size for a 17" laptop such as the Alienware series (thin and wide), especially with the additional sleeve. Most bags that say they are for 17" laptops are just not wide enough for the Alienware. The addition of the sleeve provides additional padding and protection, including edge protection, to keep the other things in the laptop bag (wireless keyboard and mouse, charge adapters, etc.) from putting any pressure points on the laptop body and screen. The laptop bag seems reasonably well made, the zipper does not open all the way, so it keeps the laptop contained, like in an envelope, and there is no way for the laptop to slip out through the side, so no worries about dropping the laptop if you pick the bag up by one strap. The material is a heavy duty nylon fabric, has been very durable and has endured travel and to and from work everyday. The straps are very good, heavy duty and they seem to extend all the way down to the bottom and stitched into the bottom seam The Zippers seem pretty good and have never given me any problems, not super fine. There are no fraying threads or extensive wear on the case or case fabric, it's held up very well.I carry an Alienware M17 R4 laptop with a full size wireless Logitech K800 Keyboard, wireless mouse, Dell 240W power supply, stack of business cards, various cables (HDMI, Cat5) and charge cords (usb, usbc, mini usb) and adapters. The 350W power supply that comes with the laptop is a little bulky and heavy for me to carry, but would fit comfortably in the bag, though you might need to forgo some of the cables to reduce some bulk (note the M17R4 will run and charge with the 240W, but will charge much more slowly, the laptop also lets you know it is not the right adapter, but it does work).

Good laptop bag. Fits more than your laptop.
First time buying a laptop bag. It's pretty spacious, enough room for my laptop + laptop cooler, as well as a gaming keyboard and mouse inside individual hard cases in the other pouch. Build quality is good. Likely just me but I thought it'd be larger. The smaller size works to its advantage though, saves on weight. Good bag, it'll serve me well for years to come.

Intelligently design and exemplary construction.
Fabulously constructed, perfect for larger sized laptop, with room for the necessities and essentials. It is very well made. Nice adjustable and well padded shoulder strap, can be removed if prefer to carry by hand.Particularly impressed with lifetime warranty, there may be exceptions, I have not read the fine print, but it has been my experience that when such is offered it is because the manufacturer is confident that it won't be needed! The video clips detailing the different lines in this brand were particularly helpful in making a determination as to which case would best meet my needs. In the video clip it shoed all the items that would comfortably fit within the case, which you would typically expect to use with your laptop. That video served to give an idea of size that is often either absent in product descriptions or difficult to translate from measurements that fail to show pocket placements, slip pockets, pockets made specifically for a particular item such as a cell phone or mouse, etc.I will add a picture with mine fully loaded the next time I take pictures so you will have a still photo to review as well.

Comodissima

Great case..tight fit for anything but a lone 10.2 inch tablet
Very nice case..great quality. BUT.. don't get it for your 10.2 inch tablet if it is a 2 in 1. I bought it for my Asus T100 that also has a case on it. Now It wont Fit. I gave this case to my wife and I am using a case designed for 11.5 inch devices
