Great Ideas, and Tastes Great, too
Dear Amit and Kelly:Hi! My name is Remy. I'm a big German Shepherd, and the proud owner of a human who recently bought your book. I have to say, I loved it! My human decided to try that camera tossing thing, so he went out and bought some rubber stuff to go around the camera, I think it's called "Camera Armor" or something. Anyway, it made it very easy for me to catch it when the camera came back down. It stayed in my mouth really good, too, so I ran out the doggy door and across the backyard with it. My human started saying some naughty words, and I think some of them were directed at you two. I know! How rude! Anyway, the rubber stuff was a little chewy, so I got down to the nice, soft plastic on the camera. Then my human came, took the camera away, and started playing that tossing game again. Only this time he only threw it once, and it landed in the trash can.So, a few days later he had a new camera, only this time he had some strange leg things attached to it. He wrapped the leg things around my collar. I didn't like this much, but he threw my ball for me, so I forgot about it and chased the ball. As I was running, the camera started making clicking and whirring noises, so I stopped and rolled over on the driveway to try to get it off. Some of it started coming off right away! Then my human started with those bad words once more. He took the camera and started that tossing game again, and again it ended after just one throw...After that, he brought your book outside and drop-kicked it across the yard. He said more..WOOF! WOOF! WOOF!...Sorry, there was a squirrel. I have to do that. It's a thing. Anyway, he said more bad words, using your names, too, then went back inside. I decided to check out your book myself. I thought it was wonderful. The part about the photo cupcakes was especially tasty! I just chewed it and spit it out, mind you. Nothing personal, it just looked like it was high in carbs, and I'm tying to watch my weight. I got through about half the book when my human came out, said LOTS of those bad words again, then started banging his head on the side of the house. Maybe this isn't such a good book if it causes that kind of behavior. Perhaps it should come with a warning of some kind.In any event, I'm looking forward to your next project. Maybe your next book could include more things for dogs. That would be...ROOF! ROOF! ROOF!...Damned squirrels. They know they're not allowed in the yard, but do they care? No, they don't. I have to go.Thanks again.Remy

Fun, Creative Ideas for Crafting with Photos
Let's make it clear - this is NOT a how-to manual for a camera. It doesn't tell you how to set shutter speed or anything like that. It doesn't tell you the right angle to take sunsets from. What this primarily is about is fun ways to use the printed photos after you have printed them. Crafty ideas. Gift ideas. For example, you can take a Rubik's cube and put pieces of a photo onto each square, customizing it. You can make a photo album out of an Altoid's tin. You can make your own snow globe. You can customize a laptop sleeve.Sure, a small section at the back encourages you to bribe strangers with candy to get candid street photographs. It talks about tying a string to your camera, and stepping on the string, to help you steady it if your hands are shaky. It describes the fun of throwing your camera in the air with a long shutter speed so you get swirly photos of a turning landscape. But most of this is about the crafts you can do.For many of that, that is awesome. You could say that you could Google and find the same sort of crafty ideas, but sometimes there's something nice about sitting down with a book that's all organized for you and reading through it. It's also a nice book to bring to a meeting or get-together to pass around. Also, I love the lighthearted tone of the book. Whoever wrote this has a great sense of humor.Well recommended!

More than just your basic photo idea book!
I became aware of this book after seeing it in the library and my initial thumb through had me checking it out. OH MY WORD! I'm not sure many of the techniques were as interesting as the hilarity of the writers intro to each project and the often comedic comments in the directions. "Empty the tealight holder. Either dump it out or burn it until it's gone. Mourn it. Get over it."As a scrapbooker and photography buff, I came across so many terrific ideas in this book I decided I had to own it. This was my first Amazon purchase and I found an excellent price and had my own copy in less than a week.I really enjoyed the 365 day project and the one where you take a picture of yourself from when you were a child and re-create it as you are now. My grandsons love the rubik's cube project. The idea for printing photos on "covers" of laptop bags, wallets etc.. while not a new idea, it's certainly one of the few books to put it in print with directions.Highly reccommend this book to people who like to do "things" with their photographs. Many inspiring ideas in this book.Jocelyn

Great for making the most of your photographs
Some great and novel ideas for those interested in doing something fun either when taking photo's or using them afterwards. My other half enjoys photography and wanted to do more than just store images on a disk or print them out in an album - this book has been great for inspiration.

Great ideas!
This is a brilliant book full of ideas of what to do with your photos. Not sure why people were under the illusion that it was a book about taking good photographs. Everything in this book can be done on a budget and to a high-quality, whatever skill level, and with whatever photograph! Excellent.

::: Not brilliant ideas just ordinary ones :::
I expected more cool ideas rather then ordinary ones. Good layout and explanation of the ideas but lack of something really cool and nice to DIY.
