Yes . I put a mix of seeds and mealworms in it.

Can fat balls fit inside this

No …. The seeds go into the centre tube, you couldn’t put anything else in there. Nothing can go in the space between the tube and cage; except small birds. Very happy with this bird feeder as it has discouraged the wood pigeons and collar doves. Only downside is that it does not come apart for cleaning.
