See all the animals on the farm in a book that’s indestructible! Where is the horse? Running in the field! Where are the chickens? Playing with their chicks! Where are the sheep? Frolicking in the grass! Indestructibles is the trusted series for easing little ones into story time. Beloved by babies and their parents, Indestructibles are built for the way babies “read” (i.e., with their hands and mouths) and are: Rip Proof—made of ultra-durable tight-woven material Waterproof—can be chewed on, drooled on, and washed! Emergent Literacy Tool—bright pictures and few or no words encourage dialogic reading Portable—lightweight books can go anywhere, perfect for the diaper bag and for travel Safe for Baby—meets ASTM safety standards Review: Really live up to their name!!! :D - These books are WONDERFUL for our 7 month old who constantly wants to read her older siblings' books. They are a great stand-in for a baby who really wants to taste everything - we try to keep one near every bookshelf so when the older kids start reading, we can pull out one of these for our youngest. These have been roughly handled by her older siblings, stepped on, jumped on, folded up, regularly drooled on, scrunched up, and rubbed across the floor, to name a few things, and yet, they're still as durable as when we first got them. The books are remarkably flat when you first get them, but after a bit of baby and toddler use, the only way they show wear is through folds or crumples, which can usually be refolded pretty flat. The pages stay wonderfully intact (the edges don't even fray), and the colors are as vibrant as they've ever been, even after months and years of use. Actually, I'd argue that use provides good texture to the pages and makes them feel better to curious little fingers and mouths. There are no words on any pages except the covers, so you can make up your own story, or just point out the animals or colors or whatever. Honestly, these are great for kids who aren't gentle enough for regular books (and might dissolve board books), but who are ready for story time. The one drawback we've found is that once kids learn that it's OK to eat these books, they try transferring that skill to other books... But it's a great starter book and super sturdy!! :D Review: Great for babies & teething toddlers! - I like these books better than board books because board books get soggy and swollen when kids chew on them; these don't. I've also read that when kids are pre-verbal it's better to talk about the pictures rather than read the book. These books worked really well for me because they don't have words. If there are words on the page, I have a hard time not sticking to the script. This way the story can change every time and it's o.k. to go forwards, backwards or skip pages here and there. The pictures are beautiful! They do get wrinkly when the kids fold them, chew them, etc., but they are completely intact!

Baby and toddler terrific!
Awesomesauce... These books are terrific! They really do hold up, at least for us. Admittedly, my perfect little flower (🙄) is not at all destructive, but we do travel quite a bit and roll these up and shove them in a bag or find them bent later. They always bounce back fine. I only wish the publisher would license the format for other publishers to use! Board books are so heavy and bulky. I could reduce my toddler's library from two shelves to maybe half a shelf if the Eric Carle, Carl Dog, Boynton, Brett, etc. books came in this format. These stories are great, though. The pictures are beautiful/-colorful and lush without any white space on every page. I love the picture books without words (like Carl Dog books, etc.) because it gives us an opportunity to play imaginatively and develops language/narrative skills. Excellent stuff.

Great for any language
Bought this as a gift for a new family that is from Brazil. They were planning on teaching their son Portuguese at home and I knew this book would be perfect because it has no words in it, just pictures of different animals and many colors.

Love these for babies
These books are really a fantastic gift for a baby shower, or a new baby. They really do wash up/wipe off easily, and babies love to look at them, "read" them, and chew on them. I've given these to several people as gifts, and they are always a big hit!

My favorite Indestructible
This is my favorite Indestructible! First, I absolutely love these books. My son is 1 and is constantly trying to hold the books I read him and turn the pages himself. This is fine with board books, but board books tend to be bulky, heavy, and not very travel friendly. Plus, when he chews on the pages of his board books it ruins them. These books are very aptly named. They truly are indestructible. Plus, they are lightweight, compact, and super travel friendly. Perfect diaper bag distractions! This particular book is full of colorful pictures of various farm animals. There are no words in the book, so you can "read" them however you want. I sing "Old MacDonald Had A Farm" while "reading" this book, and he loves it. When I don't feel like singing I'll either make up a story for each page or just point and describe. Seriously, if you're looking for a book for someone 6 months or older (especially in the toddler age range) this is absolutely perfect.

Indestructible so far!
Our son has severe autism and while he loves books and magazines, none of them last more than a few weeks. I ordered 4 of these for him and I think they're fantastic! Incredibly durable, beautifully illustrated and washable...my one problem is there are no words to read with him, but maybe making up the story will be more fun.

Love them!
Love these books! They can be put in the wash and then just hang dry! They are as indestructible as their names states! Must have for babies/toddlers!

Genial
Sehr schönes Buch. Kleine Kinder lieben Papier und dieses können sie weder essen noch zerstören. Die Zeichnungen sind sehr schön. Uneingeschränkt empfehlenswert.

Totally indestructible!
Many people have tried to tear this book - just to see if it is possible, but it is not! perfect for a 9 month old who is already loving books. The pictures are nice, but it is a shame there isn't a story to read.

Estamos amando!
