Tamiya Craft Tool Series No.91 P Cutter 2 Plastic Model Tool 74091 Review: Great Tool - "I've had the Tamiya P-Cutter II for a few weeks now, and it's become one of the favorites on the workbench. Whether you're working with plastic sheets, styrene, or thin acrylics, the cutter cuts through with astounding precision and power. What I like: Sharp and clean cuts: The knife cuts extremely sharp and easily under just light pressure. Best for scoring and breaking plastic pieces without frayed edges. Ergonomic and comfortable handle: The robust, ergonomic handle makes it comfortable for you to hold for a long time. It’s not too large or bulky. Tamiya quality: That's what you'd anticipate from Tamiya. It's a high-end build. It's not a cheap knockoff — it's a serious hobbyist tool for the individual who's interested in producing good work. Minor drawback: No spare blades are given: It would have been nice if a spare blade had come with the package considering the cost. The original blade, however, lasts for a long time if properly maintained. All things considered, the No.91 P-Cutter II makes a scale modeler's, a scratch builder's, or anyone's ideal tool for good cuts on plastic stocks. It's neither fancy, just very good at what it's designed for." Review: This is an essential tool - Great scriber, use gently cause this is a fine one

Very good at scribbing lines
This works well for me. It is sharp enough to make scribed lines in easy passes and add detail where there wasn't any. It fits my hand fairly well. I have an issue with being able to retract the blade, as I forget to push it aside before pulling back. It is a nice tool to have handy.

Nice Tool to Have
I've always used the back of an X-Acto knife to clean up/crease seams. After seeing one of these in action, I pick this one up, and it works better and is slightly easier to use than the knife. It is a little expensive though.

Nice scribe but a little thick on the blade.
Works great and it’s a reallly nice scribe but the blade is a bit thick and can put wider grooves in panel lines than you might want. But overall it’s a good sharp scribe.

Marks or Cuts perfectly.
This thing is a perfect for panel accents & removing panels. It takes little effort so don’t apply hefty pressure or you could get hung up. Set the blade where you want & gently pull towards you, repeat until you have the desired amount of material removed. I modified a commissioned 1:24 scale model of a 1971 Plymouth Barracuda by removing the door - this tool was perfect for the job and I will buy another in a heartbeat. It also makes a great gift for any scale model enthusiast.

Perfect for deepening panels lines on plastic models
this device cuts fine lines in plastic incredibly easily. It's easy to wander off line, though, so do as they recommend, using a steel straightedge as a guide, or as several YouTubers say, use Dymo plastic Letraset tape as guide. Letraset sticks to the plastic (so you don't have to hold a straightedge in place). and can be lifted and re-used. This is a tool designed to do a particular job, and it does very well.
