I'm an old fat autistic guy who has a tough time sleeping if it's too hot out. I've seen these blankets from time to time and always thought that having a blanket on me when it was hot out was an absolutely insane idea... This blanket changed my mind on that!! I'm in western WA USA and it doesn't often get too hot here, but this summer has been off to a roaring start and it got too hard to sleep so I figured I'd give this a shot. I'm so glad I did! I've had nights where it's been hot out without the blanket even with the fans blowing on me, with the blanket though I'm cool and comfortable! I have no clue what kind of witchcraft is involved in doing this but I love it! I've had nights I've had to take the blanket off because I was too cold!!! Like I said, no clue how it works but I know for sure that it does! The extra bonus to me is that on top of it keeping me cool, I love the texture and feel of this blanket! It's soft against my skin and doesn't leave me feeling like my skin is crawling the way some sheets she blankets will. I sleep on a queen sized bed and while this is more then enough of a blanket for me, it's not quite big enough to cover the bed like another blanket would, so if you're planning on using this for two (not sure if that would work to begin with) it might be best to get each of you one. The color, honestly isn't something that I'm really excited about, but it's nice and doesn't look out of place on my bed. I really can't say enough good things about this blanket. If you're thinking maybe I might get one and you've read this far, don't wait order it now, the only regret you'll have is that you didn't get it sooner!

My wife is a hot sleeper and often has to throw the blanket off. Even with fans blowing, she still has trouble sleeping at night. I got her this cooling blanket just to see if it would work, and she's IN LOVE with it! We're both very surprised by how well it works. She's the kind that can't sleep well if hot, but needs the support of a blanket on top of her at night. This was sincerely a great buy and we highly recommend it.

As the title says, isn't this is a cooling blanket and not a shawl fashion design scene? Well, here's a real review: First off, I'm a hot guy; not in looks but I'm a literal furnace. I'm the kind of guy that stands barefoot in the snow waiting to cool down. If the weather is above 67°F, it's too hot! So, along with a floor AC unit, cooling mattress/sheets, and a fan over the vent for the house AC, I barely get enough sleep to be coherent the next day. Throwing off sheets and back on every few hours every night is a pretty common ordeal for me (and my poor wife.) Cooling: It's very cool to the touch, even in a room where the temp is going up to about 89-91°F. I'm actually surprised it's as cool as it is for just being a piece of fabric. *It's not going to cool your body by up to 10 degrees, though!* That's called hypothermia and dying...but you'll sleep pretty well, if not very well. There's actually been times where the blanket slept too cool! This is in conjunction with an AC unit. Touch: It's practically sleeping with silk; the cotton is softer than the 1200-thread Egyptian cotton we have. Great if you like soft things, not so great if sleeping with wool is more your preference. Weight: I don't think this thing weighs more than 2 pounds. If you need something weighted to help you sleep with this, a quilted throw blanket like your grandma used to make on top would be one of your best bets. Since it's so light and (by design) thin, just be careful not to stretch and catch the blanket. I feel like it can tear pretty easily. Final thoughts: I'm actually pleased with this and I do believe it's worth the $40 price tag. Hopefully it'll last quite a few years.

Wow, this blanket is amazing! It’s not the first “cooling” blanket I’ve bought, but this one actually works. I can genuinely feel the cooling effect, and I even had to raise the AC temperature because I was getting cold.

Update: The seller offered me a refund to give this blanket a chance. So I kept it and have been using it while watching tv. I have to say that I am starting to like it. It has a strange texture and feel, but I'm starting to like the feel of it. It's a nice blanket to throw over your legs in the summer while in air conditioning or with a fan on you. Not too warm, though also not cooler than no blanket at all. For some further context, the blanket has two thin layers, nothing in between. One layer is a polyester fabric that reminds me of an old slip that we used to wear under dresses or skirts. The white one that I bought is kind of yellowed, so I don't love that. This is intended to be the cooling side. It does feel cool when you first put it on you since the fabric is smooth and slippery. The other side is like very thin cotton t-shirt material (knit jersey). This is intended to be the warming side. If this sounds like something you would like, this might be the blanket for you! So I raised my review to 3 stars due to the seller's customer support and the feel of the blanket growing on me. Initial review: Disappointed. Feels like a piece of thin plastic. Does not feel like it would cool, and not soft, just slippery. It's like a thin nylon sheet. And the white color is not at all like what's pictured as a very light grey heather. Instead, it's a yellowed piece of nylon or polyester that gets yellow as it gets old and dingy. Ugly and doesn't feel nice.

Y'all.....I rarely review products unless they are either great or trash but this blanket right here let me tell you it has changed my sleep life so much! I looked high and low for a real cooling blanket that actually does what it says I looked for days at reviews when I stumbled across this one. I have since purchased five for different family members because it's been that life-changing for me and I wanted to help other family members haha . I see a lot of reviews on here complaining that it's a sheet thickness but that is exactly what I wanted I live in the swamp in Florida ( swamp ass galore ) even with the AC set on polar vortex and big huge box fan on high plus a regular ceiling fan set on hurricane mode it is still so hot in my house and I'm a super hot sleeper . I roll up in this sucker like a burrito at a taco truck on Friday night . One side is direct cooling and one side is soft almost knit material for when u need a little warmth but the amount of people complaining its to thin or cold you have got to be kidding me it's a COOLING BLANKET if u want a duvet or comforter or some Sahara dessert down alternative blanket look elsewhere it's very simple read the name and description my kindergarten daughter would understand better than most people on here it's astounding. Anyways customer service is fabulous it's definitely worth the money It is not pricey to me compared to the sleepless nights of flopping around hot and being tired at work the next day. I work in the Florida Sun I get sunburnt regularly and when I'm finally able to lay down at the end of the night and put this on me it's such a huge relief. If it gets warm while you have it on you just fluff it up in the air like your grandma did to the tablecloths on Thanksgiving and you're good to go Hope this helps somebody even if it's just one person that can buy this blanket and change their sleep game up.

My husband said this is the best thing that he has ever gotten and loves it so much! This summer has been brutal, we even have a window unit in our bedroom, even though the house has a whole house, air conditioner, and he is still hot when he sleeps at night, but not any more.

I bought this as a gift, have been told it's super soft, light cosy, looks good great value for money, perfect size versatile and as someone who struggles to sleep the day it arrived a one hour nap turned into 4hours and 24 minutes the best they have slept in a while, very cooling for these.extremly hot nights lately highly recommended

I looked at the reviews and I must say thank you. All that was written was accurate. I have always had to stick my foot out from the covers (even very young) at night because I do not like to sleep with no blanket, even during summer weather. This blanket is cool to the touch. I don’t know if it really brings your temperature down but it helps feel better. But honestly after about 2 hours it stops feeling cool. I just pur it aside for 30 minutes or more and the cooling feeling comes back. Not only for size, do not share. Best used alone. I have recommended this blanket to family members. Love this purchase.

This works. First, it remains cold and fresh, providing the cooking sensation. Then, its weight gives the cuddling we need to feel comfortable and cozy. In addition, I have not seen the annoying static sparks that some fibers cause. What I have done is to have an additional flat sheet to throw on in case I get too cold because I usually sleep with a fan next to me. I like it and it has relieved me from interrupting my sleep due to hot flashes and night sweats
