I have not tried to set them up yet but I did all of my coding ahead of time based on the product image and description of 109 LEDs ... while the actual product I received as 113 LEDs - The outermost ring has an additional 4 LEDS. Ring 0: 1 LED Ring 1: 8 Ring 2: 12 Ring 3: 16 Ring 4: 20 Ring 5: 24 Ring 6: 32** <-- NOT 28 ____ Update (2/12/26): Ultimately these did work well for my project although as other reviews have mentioned the soldering was quite complex if you want to connect the rings in series since the ground wire goes between the data in / data out spots.

I put some of these rings in a fountain (encased in epoxy resin) and ran them all summer and they worked fine. They're plenty bright for 5V LEDs. Mine worked fine with 3.3V data without a level shifter and 5.3V supply. But YMMV on that.

The led rings were packaged well and arrived undamaged. The solder pads are on the small side so you definitely want to know how to solder or to put it another way these are not necessarily great for a learn to solder project. Other than that I'm super pleased with these rings combined with an D1 mini and WLED I was able to have customizable effects and control via my WI-FI in about an hour. I would buy these LEDs again.

Made an Arduino Xmas tree, it went well. No problem with the solder pads for me, but I have plenty of soldering experience. It’s definitely not garbage.

Terrible pain to solder if you want to use them as a full set. It would be nice if the PCBs were laid out in a way that they shared the D_out-D_in, Gnd-Gnd, and 5v-5v connections between the rings. so that you only need to do a single hookup to the outermost or innermost ring.

If you don't solder every day then this is not for you. The solder joint on the back is so then if you don't get it on the first time then you won't at all. I just threw 20 dollars in the trash. Don't waste your money. Update: I was issued a refund. I would buy from this seller again.

LEDs do work but be very careful, connector pads are very cheap and peeled off very easily rendering the main ring I was intending to use useless. Won’t be buying again
