Solid option
It does its function well. The app is easy to set up and set a schedule. It might seem like a lot at first, but after you have it scheduled you think "that's it?" It comes with a metal bowl inside a plastic bowl. The metal bowl is lower capacity, for smaller animals, which makes noise when the food hits it, and the underlying plastic bowl is bigger. My cat was afraid of it the first time or two (it does make a grinding/whirring noise when dispensing), but then started getting excited when he heard the food being dispensed (except for the fact that it wasn't me dispensing it). It even lets you record your own announcement that the food is being dispensed. It has button controls, which I haven't tried extensively, but I think you really want the app for setting schedules and such. The app does give them the opportunity to "inform" you of their other offerings, but they're not persistent about it; it triggers at certain points in the app, but only once (from what I've seen after about a month of use). It doesn't show other ads (and if they add external ads, I will stop using it and severely drop the rating of this review). It will bug you to replace the dessicant packet once it's time, though. For those that need it, it can be set to dispense up to 4 cups at a time. I don't think the bowl it comes with could hold that much. For under a cup, it sets by 1/12 of a cup, which lets you set it right for "grazers" if you want/need; I haven't tried it, but I understand you can set it to dispense up to 10 times per day. Downsides: When closing the lid, it requires a specific position for the lock tabs to drop, and then you turn again to lock. This can lead to a lot of spinning the lid to close it The announcement speaker is very low quality. The first time I heard my custom announcement, it just sounded like a scratchy blob. Turning the volume up helps a bit, but max volume is still pretty quiet. In a time when you can get a cheap Bluetooth speaker that's better than the boom boxes of yore, it's hard to imagine that they couldn't find a half-way decent speaker that doesn't cut profits to a noticeable degree. The stock announcements are very matter-of-fact, and not how anyone would call a cat or dog for food. There's a man and a woman, and it sounds like they didn't know why they were saying the line; it's more like they're telling you to feed them, rather than calling the animal. This is something that they could fix with an update, and I hope they do. I think it would be a plus if there were multiple to choose from, each calling/telling the animal in different ways. I think it would make it more fun for a lot of people. They just need to be recorded by pet owners. Getting it to use the custom announcement took a few tries. It'll upload to the machine and show a checkmark, and you'll think it's done, but you need to tap that checkmark until a green icon covers it. It has to send the recording, and then the setting, to the feeder via Bluetooth, so it's possible that it might not happen right the first time. -- If I could give it an honest number of stars, it would probably be 4.7 or 4.8. I think it's a great machine and would definitely buy again.

Phenomenal feeder-my dog literally sprints to it!
I've been using this PETLIBRO automatic feeder for a while now, and it has been absolutely fantastic. It works great, completely does its job, and has made our daily feeding routine so much easier. The scheduled voice recording is easily my favorite feature. I set it up for mealtimes, and the second my dog hears my voice over the speaker, he instantly sprints to the feeder from wherever he is in the house. On top of that, setting the feeder up was a breeze. The app makes it incredibly simple to program the exact times for feeding and easily adjust the food portions whenever I need to change the settings. If you are looking for a reliable, easy-to-use automatic feeder that keeps your pet on a perfect schedule, I highly recommend this one!

Arrived dirty but works great.
Bought used - pretty good. (not brand new) It works pretty well, pairing to wifi was the hard part, per the app instructions it states to keep it within 20 inches from phone, router, and feeder. i had all of them pretty much touching so it would pair easily and could not get it to pair/would pair and fall out after 2 minutes. kept failing, so after days of trying to pair, i plugged it up across the house and it paired instantly. so not sure the issue there. but it works great. inside was absolutely disgusting, maybe i didn’t read where buying used doesn’t get cleaned but there was hair, dried food, and some kind of film all over the feeder. It’s a good size and is not too loud at all, once paired it stays paired and the app functions work great.

Makes feeding time easy and consistent
This PETLIBRO automatic feeder has been a really nice upgrade for keeping feeding time consistent. The schedule setup is straightforward, and I like being able to portion meals without having to think about it every single time. The 5L size holds a good amount of food without feeling huge, and the black design looks clean sitting out instead of looking like another bulky gadget. The freshness features are a big plus because the food stays protected better than it would in an open container, and the low food reminder gives some extra peace of mind. It has made daily feeding feel more organized and reliable, especially on busy days. Overall, it has worked exactly the way I hoped it would and has been one of those purchases that quietly makes the routine easier.

Work well for the most part
I have five cats and five feeders. I use them to make it easier for myself and so I can program them to feed my cats before my dog wakes up in the morning and after he goes to sleep at night. Otherwise, my dog eats all their food. I thought the feeders would be good for a weekend trip away, but I don’t trust them for that. Last night I just happened to look at the app and noticed none of the feeders were online. I thought that was strange so I started trying to figure out why and noticed the app was not working at all. I made the mistake of un binding one feeder so I could reconnect it to the app to see if I could get it to go back online and that is how I knew the app was down. I could not get the feeder set back up in the app or any of them to reconnect to the Wifi. The feeders will still feed even though they lose Wi-Fi connection, but you just can’t tell in the app, which would be kind of scary if I weren’t home. I woke up this morning and the app was working again and the feeders were connected again, and I was able to pair the one that I unbinded, but still, if I were away, I would not have known for sure if my cats were being fed. Other than that, the feeders work fine and really help with scheduled feedings.

Product description inaccurate (height)
I bought two—one for each kitty. One was to go under a stairway and the other in a nook just over 12” high. More on this detail in a moment. I must say these are nice looking and seem to be high quality. The setup with WiFi was straightforward and simple, however both units required a reset (which was just a couple of buttons and no big deal. It just seemed odd that both units required it. Now, as for that nook: despite my better judgement looking at the photos online the product description said the units were 11.54” tall. THEY ARE NOT. They’re closer to 13” which means I blew money having an electrician install an outlet in that nook. This was really annoying. That said, ours was a pretty specialized application, so if you don’t have such a height restriction I recommend this product.

Very customizable app
Like the ease of use. It has an app to help control how much your feeding and can adjust the amount and time easily. The only thing I found annoying was the app initially gives you ads to sign-up for additional health information. It also doesn't have the option for domestic cats, mostly exotic or purebreeds, and so I chose a cat that resembled mine. One thing to note is that it will ask for your cats age and weight, so keep in mind when first setting up. It measures by a 12th of a cup so it took a few days for us to get the amounts right. The silver bowl is... Okay. I like that it's stainless, easy to clean, but is sometimes a pain to slide back into place because I don't like picking the unit up (I have a cord/plug issue) I have to tilt the unit to slide it back into its holder where the silver lip sits just under the feeding slot. It also needs 3 D batteries for a backup which I appreciate if the power goes out. It's supposed to keep the memory/feeding schedule for at least a day (I believe). It has notifications, low food, and jam ups. So far I've had no jam ups as his food is what is suggested in the manual for best use. Cleaning seems easy enough, I have not had to do this just yet as it's our first month with it, but it 5-6 pieces that clip apart. The footprint is no bigger than an filtered water station or a freefeed system. It's easy to move as long as there is an outlet nearby (I have the smaller container ontop). The cons: the keys on the panel are touch. It comes locked, but doesn't need to be unlocked in order to set up or do anything if you're using the app. The unlock is a button on the left, touch for three seconds, and it will literally tell you it is unlocked. Then you can press the button for manual feeding of 1/12th a cup with each press. The filter in the top only lasts for about 14days before it says to change it. I'd like to have a month. I ordered a pack of 5 additional filters at the time I ordered the unit, and I'm glad I did because what it cones with is a plain satchet of the charcoal to start while the seperate order is the actual square filter with charcoal and the silica(?) beads. It has a small raised line for the lid to indicate the direction it should be put on to help with proper sealing. I took a marker and made it stand out because I kept putting it on backwards or didn't have it completely closed when we were doing trial and error with the amount of food (he was getting too much and we had to pour some back). Over all I am happy with it. Still getting used to hearing my own voice repeated for feeding time lol, but I think it has helped a lot. He eats what he is given and we haven't seen him tossing his cookies when he used to eat from boredom or separation anxiety. The ads haven't been a bother since the initial setup either. There is a fee if you choose to join the petlibro tracking, but it is not necessary to use the unit. Personally, I don't have the libro brand water filter system which I believe keeps up with how much a pet drinks. There is no sensor, as far as I can tell, in the food bowl to deduce how much the pet is eating or leaving behind, so for me seeing him finish 1/12 is enough. There is a good bit of options in the settings too, turning off the voice call at certain times of the day, notifications of battery, connection issues, filter life, and it seems very customizable to personal preference. The brand seems to have put a lot of effort into controlling how you want your device to work and that's a big plus. My reason for knocking a star was due to filter life, the stainless bowl that could probably have a knotch at the back for easier removal and replace, and the initial ads that were a bit startling during the initial setup as I immediately thought I'd have to pay a monthly fee in order to use the device.

A Year in the Life: PETLIBRO Automatic Cat Feeder Review
After a full year of constant use, I can confidently say that these feeders have become a cornerstone of my home’s daily rhythm. Managing a household with three cats means coordination is key, and having a dedicated dispenser for each of them has turned what used to be a chaotic morning ritual into a seamless, automated process. Reliability for the Long Haul One of the most reassuring aspects of these units is their dual-power capability. Living with the peace of mind that a local power flicker won't result in a missed meal is invaluable. This reliability is especially apparent during vacation trips; knowing the schedule is locked in and backed up by battery power allows me to travel without the constant "did I leave the bowl full?" anxiety. A Personalized Touch The feeders allow for recorded audio cues, which adds a surprisingly personal layer to the automation. Hearing a familiar voice call them to dinner makes the process feel less mechanical and more like a part of the family routine. Our three kittens, who have now grown into adulthood with these machines, transitioned perfectly. The size and ergonomics seem tailor-made for cats, though I’d be curious to see how they hold up against the more "enthusiastic" appetite of a larger dog. The "Kibble Dust" Factor If there is one minor grievance to note after 365 days of use, it’s a matter of maintenance rather than mechanics. Over time, the internal dispensing gears tend to grind a small portion of the dry food into a fine dust. This powder can eventually cake onto the included stainless steel dishes, requiring a bit of extra scrubbing during the weekly cleaning. It’s a small price to pay for the convenience, but something to keep an eye on if you use particularly brittle kibble. Setup and Software The 5G WiFi integration and the accompanying app made the initial setup incredibly straightforward. Crafting a specific feeding schedule for three different animals could have been a headache, but the interface is intuitive enough that I had all three units synchronized and operational within minutes. Final Verdict Performance: Consistently on time, every time. Build: Sturdy enough to survive the curiosity of three growing kittens. Convenience: The gold standard for pet owners who travel or value a structured routine. Maintenance: Expect a little extra cleaning around the bowl to manage food dust.

Motor stuck, machine won’t dispense food
Edit: Increase rating base on Petlibro wonderful consumer service. Brought up the issue to the original company and after reviewing the video to prove it was the base that was the issue, Petlibro sent me a replacement base. I just got it and it is working so far. Crossing fingers it last more than 2 years. Original: After 6 month of use (and it wasn’t set to go off everyday either), the motor is dead. I keep getting an error message on the app saying the motor is stuck and to clean out the feeder but that’s not the issue. I’ve tried cleaning the machine out and it’s not a food blockage. The motor just won’t turn anymore. I've tried gently turning the motor manually and it won’t budge. There’s no way to open the machine to look under the motor to see if there’s an issue too. Very disappointing. The feeder isn’t cheap either

Far too expensive
I had initially thought that this was 6 packs of 4 each. But it's just 6 items in the pack for almost £20. I doubt that this costs more than 20p to manufacture. And they want you to replace them every 2 weeks!
