I really love this automatic cat feeder. It is well made with removable stainless-steel dish. The best thing is the free application that comes with it. You can make adjustments to the time and amount you are feeding, program feeding times, record a voice dinner call. It also allows you to see a history of log on all feeding times and how much was dispensed in that feeding (adjustable in 1/12 cup increments). You can also feed anytime direct from the app. I have not used the desiccant bags recommended to keep food dry -- going to monitor and see if I need to purchase.

It does its function well. The app is easy to set up and set a schedule. It might seem like a lot at first, but after you have it scheduled you think "that's it?" It comes with a metal bowl inside a plastic bowl. The metal bowl is lower capacity, for smaller animals, which makes noise when the food hits it, and the underlying plastic bowl is bigger.My cat was afraid of it the first time or two (it does make a grinding/whirring noise when dispensing), but then started getting excited when he heard the food being dispensed (except for the fact that it wasn't me dispensing it). It even lets you record your own announcement that the food is being dispensed. It has button controls, which I haven't tried extensively, but I think you really want the app for setting schedules and such. The app does give them the opportunity to "inform" you of their other offerings, but they're not persistent about it; it triggers at certain points in the app, but only once (from what I've seen after about a month of use). It doesn't show other ads (and if they add external ads, I will stop using it and severely drop the rating of this review). It will bug you to replace the dessicant packet once it's time, though.For those that need it, it can be set to dispense up to 4 cups at a time. I don't think the bowl it comes with could hold that much. For under a cup, it sets by 1/12 of a cup, which lets you set it right for "grazers" if you want/need; I haven't tried it, but I understand you can set it to dispense up to 10 times per day.Downsides:When closing the lid, it requires a specific position for the lock tabs to drop, and then you turn again to lock. This can lead to a lot of spinning the lid to close itThe announcement speaker is very low quality. The first time I heard my custom announcement, it just sounded like a scratchy blob. Turning the volume up helps a bit, but max volume is still pretty quiet. In a time when you can get a cheap Bluetooth speaker that's better than the boom boxes of yore, it's hard to imagine that they couldn't find a half-way decent speaker that doesn't cut profits to a noticeable degree.The stock announcements are very matter-of-fact, and not how anyone would call a cat or dog for food. There's a man and a woman, and it sounds like they didn't know why they were saying the line; it's more like they're telling you to feed them, rather than calling the animal. This is something that they could fix with an update, and I hope they do. I think it would be a plus if there were multiple to choose from, each calling/telling the animal in different ways. I think it would make it more fun for a lot of people. They just need to be recorded by pet owners.Getting it to use the custom announcement took a few tries. It'll upload to the machine and show a checkmark, and you'll think it's done, but you need to tap that checkmark until a green icon covers it. It has to send the recording, and then the setting, to the feeder via Bluetooth, so it's possible that it might not happen right the first time.--If I could give it an honest number of stars, it would probably be 4.7 or 4.8. I think it's a great machine and would definitely buy again.

5L fits a 5lb bag of food perfectly. I use this product to feed my cat in the mornings. After you set the schedule, it is comforting knowing the app lets you know when food has been dispensed so you know your cat/dog/other is being fed! I double check every few days out of habit but have never had a problem. It also gives you accurate low food warnings. Once in a while it has network connection issues which tend to resolve itself fairly quickly. My cat has small kibble so I have never had issues with the food dispensing. I actually just took it apart to clean it today which was a breeze. One of my requirements for a feeder was that it could be cleaned everywhere the food touches, and this one can. Very easy to put back together. Just remember to test dispense a few times, as it may not dispense any kibble on the first go around after cleaning. You can also save a buck by buying off brand moisture absorbing packs made for food, although I buy the recommended ones to support the brand. This is an excellent, not complicated product that integrates technology just enough but not too much. Exactly what I needed.Edit: I traveled out of country for a couple weeks, and the feeder had network connection issues for a few hours. After I had touched ground at my destination, though, the feeder continued on as normal based on the time zone I had set it up in. I continued to receive the normal notifications that my cat was being fed and I confirmed it was at the correct time based on those who I had looking after my cat while I was gone.I will add that this brand is top notch when it comes to making sure their customer base is happy. They send email notifications when there is a wide spread network connection issues, etc.Edit: Going on nearly 2 years and this feeder still works wonderfully! No rusting of screws or breakdown of any components from the numerous times I have taken it apart to clean it. I noticed the feeder, for a while anyhow, disconnected randomly at 3am multiple times in a row. The brand (or maybe my internet provider) seemed to catch this problem, though, and now I no longer have this issue. Always wonderful to have a product from a brand that consistently cares about their customer base. Note this feeder does not require a subscription for basic needs.

It will not release food unless you set it to, which makes it very reliable and convenient.One feature that really stood out to me is the voice function. When the feeder dispenses food, it can announce that it is mealtime, and you can even choose how many times the message repeats so your cat hears it clearly. What makes it even cooler is that you can record your own voice instead of using the default message. I was able to say my cat’s name and call him over for food, which made the experience feel much more personal.Another really smart feature is the indicator light on the feeder. If the food level gets too low, the button glows red to let you know it needs to be refilled. That is such a helpful detail and shows that a lot of thought went into the design of this product.One thing I do want to mention for new users is that during the first couple of feeding cycles, the portions might not come out perfectly exact. It may release a little more or a little less food than what you selected at first. Do not panic or think something is wrong with the feeder. That only happened because the product was freshly set up. It works great, completely does its job, and has made our daily feeding routine so much easier.The scheduled voice recording is easily my favorite feature. I set it up for mealtimes, and the second my dog hears my voice over the speaker, he instantly sprints to the feeder from wherever he is in the house.On top of that, setting the feeder up was a breeze. Read great review first then come back here.Immediate 5 star if seller can tell me how to turn off the device touch screen entirely because by day 3 my dog figured out how to unlock the feeder and then feed herself.REVIEW: Just what I needed. my 10mo old pup was having digestive issues and I wanted a way to refine her feeding schedule and amounts. More feedings in restricted smaller amounts haved helped her overcome daily purging. (ick) I've never owned an automatic feeder and I bought this PetLibro version because it allows up to 10 scheduled feedings a day and all 7 days may be customized individually, though I only use the copy day feature at this time to make all days the same. What I find very valuable is that each scheduled feeding may be sized from 0-4cups of kibble(food) in 1/12 increments, so 48 different feeding sizes that I measured to be very accurate cup for cup. Understand the physics of it though because smaller the kibble(size of dry food) the more accurate the measurements. If you want to know exactly how much kibble is dispensed then (clean and dry all pieces that come in contact with food first), assemble dry parts, fill container, dispense 2-3 full cups first to ensure the internal air pockets are removed to ensure accurate measurements, then dispense and measure each of the levels from 1/12th to 12/12ths and compare it to your normal feeding size. KNOW THIS - medium to large kibble won't function well in this feeder. I intend to continue using the small kibble Purina Puppy Chow and I feel good about the feeder's size precision. At $70 the price is right as I didn't feel the need to spend more to add a camera to the feeder. Install and use of the mobile app was very easy and straightforward. I like option to record my own voice that plays prior to each feeding. What's cool is that everyone in my family may record a "Come Eat" audio and you can manually change which ones plays anytime you want from within the app. Oh, and the app may be installed on multiple phones so that everyone in the family can keep track of feedings and alerts. I did learn that the app's auto find of device from phone only works AFTER plugging in the PetLibro feeder. I installed the 3 'D' size batteries first and lights appear as does minimal functionality however Bluetooth signal is off until the device is also plugged in. Some reviews reported that they couldn't connect phone to feeder however I believe this was their issue. The batteries are designed for back up only when loss of power occurs - the device turns off wifi and BT to conserve energy to ensure dog gets fed. The food container holds 5 days of food for my 50# Labradoodle and the device has indicator light and an app push notification to indicate time for food refill. Food container looks to have a good tight seal to keep food fresh. There is also a desiccant pouch that should be replaced every week or month - though I've read that desiccant's may be renewed in microwave or dehydrator. Careful though, I melted one in a microwave once.

This is actually a life changer. It's a bit annoying to set up on the app, but once it's done, it's absolutely fantastic. It's great for busy schedules and also just making sure your pet is eating at consistent times and consistent amounts. You do have to replace the filter every two weeks, but your app will notify you when it's due. It's also simple to take apart and deep clean. For my cat who eats 1/2 cup of food a day, I have to refill completely about once a month and when it empties completely that's when I take it apart and deep clean it. If you end up changing wifi though, wow does the app absolutely suck.

Edit: Increase rating base on Petlibro wonderful consumer service. Brought up the issue to the original company and after reviewing the video to prove it was the base that was the issue, Petlibro sent me a replacement base. I just got it and it is working so far. Crossing fingers it last more than 2 years.Original: After 6 month of use (and it wasn’t set to go off everyday either), the motor is dead. I keep getting an error message on the app saying the motor is stuck and to clean out the feeder but that’s not the issue. I’ve tried cleaning the machine out and it’s not a food blockage. The motor just won’t turn anymore. I've tried gently turning the motor manually and it won’t budge. There’s no way to open the machine to look under the motor to see if there’s an issue too. Very disappointing. The feeder isn’t cheap either

I had initially thought that this was 6 packs of 4 each. But it's just 6 items in the pack for almost £20. I doubt that this costs more than 20p to manufacture. And they want you to replace them every 2 weeks!

Just got a kitten, making the cat family count 2 and was really happy when I checked and saw I didn’t have to buy another cat feeder.The bowls do their jobs, the build is quite sturdy and the shape of the bowl is actually much nicer and easier to clean than the one that comes originally.The setup is quite easy but I do agree with the reviews that divider isn’t that precise, but to be honest, after a full day of releasing food I don’t think it makes any difference.
