Quality product and sleek
Honest review! It’s been over two months. Been using the scale with my Breville bambino plus and pour overs. Comparing it to others like the Acaia Lunar. Design is sleek and fits on my espresso machine tray. It’s simple to use and set settings. The scale is accurate. The only “con” is you need a stable surface if not your numbers change constantly. Other than that it’s a quality product at an affordable price. Highly recommend.

1-Yr Review: Satisfied w/ Some Drawbacks
Purchased this scale for my Barista Express in March of 2023, needed something relatively tech-friendly and something small that could fit on the small drip tray of the BBE. Saw some controversy about this scale when it came out and decided to give it a try - not in the current mindset to shell out $250+ for the Acacia Lunar. In my year of owning it, this scale has seen 2-3 daily shots run on it nearly every day of the year. I've fiddled with every possible setting and now have a year's worth of data to pull from while writing this review.--For the good, a lot comes to mind. The size, sleekness, and general aesthetic of the scale are wonderful. It fits easily on all Breville drip trays, has bright and responsive LED colors, and the angled display is much more of a blessing than some may realize. The accuracy for my unit is very good and has remained good throughout the entirety of my usage. Response time is instantaneous, with 0.1g ratings consistently. The auto-timer feature works exceptionally, starting the timer at 0.5s max after the first drip and stopping at 0.5s max after I cut the shot. Auto-tare for the cup and auto-start-stop is great to have. I've tested the accuracy of weighing every 2-3 months and it's been calibrated perfectly every single time. Overall a very good day-to-day experience using this scale.--There are a couple of downsides as well that I'd like to highlight, many of which will mirror other reviews found on this page. The buttons are incredibly finicky and hard to maneuver with - less of an issue now that I've grown used to them, but expect some annoyance in the beginning. The 'beeps' on the scale are annoying and loud - there is a silencing option, but I do like the feedback so I've opted to keep it. I'd love to see a volume option, as the loudness is ridiculous (and annoys everyone else in my house). As mentioned earlier, the scale passed every calibration test. It works great 98% of the time, but drift does happen eventually. Luckily I'll usually notice this pretty quickly, but it exists. Usually, it's a downward trend - i.e., I'll pour 18g of coffee into my measuring cup. I'll leave it on the scale, to find out it's turned to 17.9 in 5-6 sec. Then 17.8. Then 17.7, 17.6, etc... easy enough to correct, but still does exist.^ For the drifting piece, this has ONLY happened when the scale reaches the lowest battery setting. Charging it to full has always resolved this issue, but users should be warned that it does exist to a degree. My final complaint is that the auto-stop timer is a bit too quick... at times! Occasionally I've been dialing a new bean, and my drink will come out way too fine. This results in a very slow extraction, but if the scale detects too slow of a pace it will automatically cut off - this means that I can't see any time, or even have a sense of how much output in my shot to know when to stop the shot.--The cons I mentioned are minor annoyances, but I would like to see all of them fixed in a V2 edition. I maintain that a lot of the serious calibration/drift issues are QC-based, which Timemore is known for needing to improve at. Hopefully, they have fixed those. The truth is that you may get a dud scale, which isn't 'acceptable' but is also not indicative of most scales pumped out of their shop. If this happens, return it and get a new one.Overall, this is a good product for those who want some modern features on a low-profile scale but don't want to shell out nearly $300 for the Lunar. Would recommend the purchase.

Expensive, but worth the price
I had bought two separate cheap coffee scales before this one, and both of them wound up infuriating me. I finally decided to go for the expensive option, and I haven't looked back since. The auto options are not the best, but I'm also a manual kinda guy anyway, so I can't say much about that. But the manual setting works great, tares quickly, the timer is helpful. And the battery lasts for literal months on a charge, where other options have lasted a week at most. This makes it a great option for me, because I just keep it close by, and grab it when I need it without worrying whether it's charged or not.

Barely works, weight drifts wildly. Returned for defectivr
This thing barely works. First, the buttons are insanely sensitive when you don’t want them to be and then don’t register a press when you actually want them to work. Getting the timer started is a nearly impossible task as it has to “switch modes” or something that takes 5 seconds. Then starting the timer either doesn’t start the timer, kicks it out of timer mode, or actually works. Who knows what it’ll do. Then the tare button. It usually works, but never actually tares to zero because even if you delicately tap the button, the weight fluctuates by 200 grams and you end up with a random number. When you FINALLY get zero, it might stay there. It might bounce. It might just climb up. Or down? Who knows.Absolutely useless device and the price is absurd for something that that my $2 no name scale could do properly for YEARS before it broke.

I want to love this scale
I love the size and build of this scale. It fits perfectly on my Bambino Plus machine. However, the buttons are very sensitive and I can’t figure out how to make it work properly in the espresso mode, especially the auto timing. It came with no instructions so I looked online which helped but I’m still having issues when scale is set in the AUTO ESP mode. For now I’m using the manual mode. I have read other reviews and they seem to agree. I’m not giving up on this scale yet.

High Build Quality
I bought a number of digital scales off Amazon and the $20-$40 range. At that range you’re getting plastic materials. While more expensive, this product has a significantly improved feel, response time, accuracy etc.One single dosing, espresso, the scale would pick up the weight of individual beans whereas the cheaper scales would take 4-6 beans to register and report a change in weight.

Great Little Scale
This scale is accurate, small, and easy to clean. I tried using other cheaper scales by Hario, Timemore, Escali, and Accutec, but they all had the same problem: you could weigh out 16g of beans, remove the container from the scale, place it back on, and the weight would read different by 2-4 grams. This scale is consistent, and the same test only shows weight varying by 0.1-0.2 grams. The tare button is on the side, which means you don’t accidentally add pressure to the scale while taring. It’s small so it’s easy to store and travel with.

Great Compact Scale
I use for travel. Needed the physical on/off switch. There is a bit of lag when you tare the scale, but this is a minor annoyance. Only two buttons control lots of functions but there is a handy guide on a temporary sticker on top of the scale. Battery life great so far.

Small and accurate
Highly recommended after 6 months of daily use. I've been through a few coffee scales, mostly cheap ones, before ending up with the Black Mirror Nano. I have only needed to charge it once (!) in these 6 months. Weighing is fairly accurate and even though I didn't like the non-tactile buttons on the left and right side, I got used to it really quickly. The ON/OFF switch is tactile but a bit small and I find it sometimes hard to flick without holding the scale with my other hand, though this is not worth removing a star. Worth the price. I recommend using a silicone pad (I have one from another scale that I cut to the right size of the Nano) to protect the scale against water/coffee.

Anfangs verzweifelt man fast.
