These beans have a great flavour that isn't stifled by over-roasting; which IMHO many high-street coffee chains are guilty of.

My favourite coffee

This is the first time I’ve tried this Ethiopia Arabica blend from Illy. I ground it to a fine powder using a burr grinder and made espresso for a latte in my Francis Francis X1 coffee machine.The flavour reminded me of treacle…and I can detect the floral aroma and taste…I have my coffee without sweetner or sugar and takes it with soya milk.It has a nice colour, aroma and crema.

It is definitely a very good coffee. However, a few months ago when I was supposed to get a new batch at my subscription delivery day the seller was not able to deliver which made me find another seller.

For me not drinkable,no flavour,a bit too old and the most important they are not light roast as advertised.Medium to dark that's the reason no acidity or fruitiness as common for Ethiopian beans....Tried on V60, Jura E8, Fellow series one and Wendougee Data s all the same didn't deliver any flavours only bland...Maybe to someone who's not really in to the coffee experience good enough...Was hoping for more.At least I tried :)Going back to Pact or Rave coffee supplies...

Brilliant coffee any time you want it. Love coffee beans and grind them myself. The smell is gorgeous and illy brand is very good as well i loved the brand from the first time i tasted this coffee.

When brewed tasted amazing, one of the best

As is always the case with Illy coffee it has a very nice aroma, and and clear cut bitter sweet flavour that is one of a kind. I use the coffee in a French press, open fire coffee percolator and hob expresso pot. It is relevant which of these I use the coffee is just excellent.This brand of coffee is one of my personal favourite coffee's and it is a very good bargain for the price, and I shall be purchasing this coffee again more than once.

Le mie aspettative deluse

Ich bin eigentlich ein Gewohnheitstier, was meine Kaffeebohnen angeht, wollte aber für mein Wochenend-Frühstück mal etwas Besonderes ausprobieren. Da ich die klassischen illy-Dosen mag, bin ich bei der Äthiopien-Selection hängen geblieben – und was soll ich sagen? Ich wurde nicht enttäuscht.Mein Eindruck beim Auspacken & Mahlen:Schon beim Öffnen der Dose kommt einem dieser typische, frische Duft entgegen. Man merkt sofort, dass das hier kein 08/15-Supermarktkaffee ist. Die Bohnen sehen top aus, keine Bruchstücke oder ölige Rückstände.Der Geschmack (Das Wichtigste!):Was mir besonders gefällt: Er ist überhaupt nicht bitter oder sauer. Wer einen kräftigen "Wachmacher-Schlag" in die Magengrube sucht, ist hier falsch. Dieser Kaffee ist eher elegant und zart.• Man schmeckt tatsächlich diese leichte, blumige Note (Jasmin/Kamille) raus.• Der Abgang hat einen Hauch von Zitrus/Orange, was ihn super erfrischend macht.• Perfekt für den Nachmittag oder wenn man den Kaffee schwarz genießt.Ein kleiner Punkt:Der Preis ist natürlich etwas höher als bei der Standard-Mischung, aber für den Genuss ab und zu absolut gerechtfertigt. Die 250g-Dose hält das Aroma zudem super frisch, da sie perfekt schließt.Fazit:Ein toller Arabica für alle, die es feiner und weniger "rußig" mögen. Besonders im Vollautomaten oder frisch gemahlen in der French Press kommt das Aroma richtig gut zur Geltung.Würde ich definitiv wieder bestellen, wenn ich mir mal wieder was gönnen will.

Ein sehr guter Kaffee mit einer leicht säuerlichen Note. Geschmacklich Nuancen reich und lecker. Der Preis ist allerdings relativ hoch. Deswegen 4 Sterne.
