This machine chills the ice cream really fast, and the defrost button makes rolling the ice cream and clean up really easy...I would not recommend one without that feature. Fit and finish is typical of restaurant equipment not a sleek consumer product. Its heavy. Mine came new unlike other reviewers. I cant figure out how they can sell this for so little. As others have said, let the unit set upright for several hours to let the refrigerant settle before turning on. Dont tip the machine when moving it too much, or you should let it settle again.Edit: Had an ice cream day for the neighbor kids, charged a nickle an order. Made 25 servings in an hour

I wish I could give this product and seller 0 stars. When I received the product, it was well packaged and arrived quickly. I followed the instructions provided to make ice cream rolls. The machine DID NOT get cold enough to freeze the ice cream batter. I left the unit on for more than 3 hours and it still did not get to the right temperature. Naturally since the item was defective, I wanted to return it. Getting this seller to issue a refund was a hassle! They wouldn't issue me a full refund and instead gave me a small compensation ($40) to find a local professional fix the unit! WHAT?! I have to get someone else to fix a "new" machine?! On top of that, they wanted me to regift this junk to friends or family LOL. When they finally agreed to issue a refund, they gave me two different addresses to send the unit back which I found suspect. I ended up just accepting a partial refund (about half of what I paid). To sum up my rant, DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT. It's a waste of time and money. Buy the Whynter branded machine on Amazon (I ended up purchasing this and it works really well)! Amazon should really do its' due diligence when accepting 3rd party sellers on their site. Sellers like these are ruining Amazon's reputation.

Bad machine, don’t waist your time having to return, does not cool enough to even make the ice cream mix (I bought for this), tried for a few hours then just get up! I was so excited to use it, then so upset it didn’t work. what a piece of junk! I didn't have any issues with returning or refunding me. Still a very poorly made machine, company needs to pull it off the market

Definitely value for your money here. It’s easy to use and really good quality. It’s made of a sturdy metal and has good ventilation. It freezes fast and works very good. My only problem is that its smaller than I would have liked it to be.
