Works
Bought to replace the one on our boat trailer that broke at the boat landing. Great quality and works like a champ. Easy to install, cranks easily, strap is well made too. Weโve had our boat out on the water probably 10-12 times already this summer with using this winch.

OPENROAD 1600lbs Hand Winch Boat Winch, Hand Crank Winch with 10m
trailer winch easy to use and install, with solid construction and good value for money. The functionality receives positive feedback, with one customer noting it works well with a 14' aluminum boat. However, durability and reliability are significant concerns - multiple customers report the winch breaking from minor use and issues with the locking mechanism slipping out of place too easily.

Broke on the first use left me stranded at boat launch. DO NOT BUY
3500 lb winch is the biggest lie I've ever heard. I had a 2600 lb winch that worked just fine for years until it finally broke. The 3500 lb winch broke the first time I tried to put my boat onto the trailer. I ended up have to use a rachet strap to get my boat out of the water and home. The gear teeth on the small gear that connects to the large strap gear shredded like a tin can under the first load and it won't even reel up the rope. Don't buy unless you have a canoe you need it for because it cannot work as advertised. It took me an hour at the boat launch to figure out how to get my boat out of the water safely. Will be getting my money back for sure. See pictures and video. DO NOT BUY.

Worked well for moving roll-off roof and lifting wood
I built an 8x12 observatory building with a roll-off roof in my back yard. With solar panels for shingles, the roof weighed about 1000 pounds and was thus too heavy to move with muscle power alone. The winch is mounted on the east wall, and along with two or three 4-inch pulleys (depends on whether opening or closing) makes for an easy job of moving the roof. An added benefit was that during construction (after the winch was already mounted) it came in handy for lifting the 60-pound outboard rafter "ladder: assemblies and the OSB sheets that went on the roof and upper walls of the roof assembly.
