Machine came broken
I was so excited to receive my order. First machine arrived I noticed a crack on the sewing machine. I had to return it and get a replacement. Second sewing machine arrived. It came broken as well, I noticed that one of the plastic pieces that holds the plate is broken. Which is too bad, because other than the fact the the outside part of the machine is plasticly/cheaply made it sews beautiful stitches and I love especially the quality of the buttonholes. For the price, it is not worth it. I am disappointed. Anyway, I sent it back and I now starting from scratch.

Great machine.
Great machine but it was damaged and the storage container in the removable bed is also damaged I have to tape it to keep it in place not sure about this so called thread trimmer on the foot peddle as it doesn't seam to cut the thread but it does cause me confusion when I accidentally press on the foot too far back guess its a matter of getting used to it ,the lettering is small but maybe it can be made larger but it's all learning for me

This Juke HZL_F400 is a Dream to Use!
This Juke is an absolute dream to use. As a beginner quilter, I had been using a Brother CS6000i, which was doing a reasonable job for small items but this Juke HZL-F400 is sooo much better. So far, since Oct, '24 I've made 2 lap quilts and 2 queen quilts on it and am currently working on my first king size quilt. No jamming or thread breaking. No funky stitches or tension problems. It is so quiet, I can sew in the evening without waking anyone up. The drop in bobbin is so easy. Even filling a bobbin is very simple. The machine is easy to thread and I didn't think I would use the auto stop/start reverse feature but I use it all the time! I also love the auto needle threader! The one on the Brother never worked. The one on the Juke has never failed! My Juke also came with the walking foot which I've used to do all my straight line quilting on my quilts. As for speed, it has 5 levels. I have only used up to level 3, which is plenty fast for me. There are many features I have not yet used but so far I am delighted with this machine.

2.5 months later its broken
I feel sick about how expensive this machine was only for it to stop working after 2.5 months. Amazon refused to do anything for me, and Juki gives me the run around. I was literally sewing a straight light when the bobbin seized and started jumping around. I took out the bobbin case and it was all chewed up underneath. There is no where close to me to fix it, and even after making an expensive long-distance call to Juki in Florida I can't get Juki to help me.

Excellent
I love this machine. I've owned several sewing machines in my long sewing career, and still own a couple of vintage models and an embroidery machine, and this one stands out. The straight stitch is wonderful and the machine quiet with less vibration than most. There are plenty of decorative stitches and utility stitches. The pricing is very good and I would recommend it as a first machine. The decorative stitches are fun when used along the neckline and hems of the many winter flannel pajama sets I make for myself. I recently made a men's dress shirt for a dear friend using the Islander Men's Maker Express pattern and the machine handled the edge-stitching very well. It has a nice straight stitch and makes an excellent buttonhole with the most sturdy buttonhole attachment I've seen on modern machines.
