No manual if you hav enever built a kit before this isnt a good one to start with
This style guitar has a set neck so this style of guitar needs glue and clamps to get the neck bonded, it needs lots of sanding. The parts have sealer so imo they are designed to be painted. Painting is the easier option to the finish the sealer fills in all of the pores in the wood that would hold stain and soak up paint so since they are sealed the surface is flat for paint. **NO BUILD MANUAL** There might be an online guide to build this but the screws are in bags so there is no way to tell what screws go where if you have never tors down or rebuilt a guitar before the screws can be over whelming and you can wind up putting the wrong screws in the wrong places screws for the tuners, the pickup rings and the control covers are not all the same and can easily be confused. This kit needs some soldering the pickups are not soldered the pots are. The kit comes with a truss rod wrench but no other tools so you will need finishing tools, soldering iron, sand paper glue, clamps for the neck. I would also sugest a new set of strings, the kit strings are only for testing they are packaged WAY to tight and there are bends and kinks in the strings that if used can cause buzzing issues, intonation problems. I bought 2 of these kits one for me and a buddy and we have been playing for 30+ years nice kits for the money cant wait to build them

Excellent Kit
In all fairness, I only used the body and neck, all other parts were replaced with third-party options. Regardless, the neck is very good and the body, solid. Very good value. This was my fourth kit guitar and it's a toss up between this and a Strat kit as to which is my favorite.
