Good quality and build
Good build, although doesn't feel as solid as a metal frame. But writes very well and smoothly without stoppage of flow. Strongly recommend for heavy users of ink pens esp. students.

A Real Surprise! The Smoothest Writing Ever! โญโญโญโญโญ
I didnโt think this pen would be this smooth. At first glance, you wonโt see it being a beauty contestant โ it is a pretty basic pen and doesnโt even have a clip. But you better believe itโs smooth! I have a Lamy Safari Medium Nib Fountain Pen and a Pilot Metropolitan MR3, both great designed. But when it comes to the actual smoothness of writing, this pen is alone in its league! Pilotโs nibs are also relatively thin, which is excellent for notebooks, but not very bold for documentsโ signatures. If youโre looking for a very smooth, almost buttery, writing feel for notebooks โ this is it! ๐

Good pen
Lovely pen. Could have been sold with a converter. Solid value for money though. Good for everyday use

Pilot Kakuno is white in colour, have a smooth M nib pen and more
This review about the product received and is before using the product extensively. Consider this my first impressions. I will update it after using later. The listed image showed a slight pinkish pen which is why I hesitated a lot. But this is a clear pen. With zero colour. Go ahead and purchase it if you are slightly hesitant because of this reason. Regarding the packaging and nib. The EF Nib, I just realised that it is a M nib even though the seller's sticker says EF Nib. The Pilot's package shows M conclusively. But I wanted a M nib and accidentally ordered EF Nib. So this is not an issue for me. And the package seal was broken. But the pen is in tact without damage. So am not bothered. The nib is smoother than Platinum Preppy M nib. The ink flow is thick enough and is clean. And not really wide to be annoying. The pen is also not as small as the images make it out to be. It's wide/thick and high enough. Height is 13cm. For comparison, platinum preppy is ~13.7cm. It's made out of hard plastic. And feels solid. If you are planning on buying Platinum Preppy cos of cost, think again. While I love the platinum preppy pen with respect to nib and experience, it's cap is super weak. I use it very carefully cos it will break. At the same place. It is a matter of time. I got my second one and it again had the same issue. Instead of buying two Platinum preppy which costs the same as this single pen, I should've got this in the first go itself. Just buy one of these and you can use it for a long long time.

Perfect everyday writer
It's a Kakuno! Almost perfect everyday writer. And I can try the shimmer inks without fear. I plan to collect all colors to match the ink

Perfect! Its perfect!!
If you are buying a fountain pen for the 1st time this is perfect for you. At this price point ot gives absolutely smooth writting experience and also it's very very Light weight the nib it has used is a premium nib from the pilot metropolitan which is priced around 2k inr. It's extremely value for money and the look it provides is also beautiful as I'm using the transparent one but i would suggest you people to go with the fine tip for notes making as it'll give you a good writting experience good feedback also smoothness and less broad

Beautiful pen, not as scratchy as expected!
Beautiful pen. Writes very smooth despite how thin of a line it produces. I would definitely recommend this to artists who are looking to produce fine lines. The grip section places your hand in a pretty comfortable position. Worth the price because it is the best in its segment. I keep looking at the pen admiring its build lol.

Great pen, nib is Fine (not Medium) though
The Pilot Kakuno is a lovely, smooth pen. But FYI - this vendor is sending out "Fine" nibs and not "Medium" nibs (like this product is labeled) . This is annoying but since this is my first Kakuno I have nothing to compare it to. The Fine nib is not scratchy but it does tend to make you write in a smaller font. Positives: The pen is great. The vendor sent it before time.

Great for Beginners - Inexpensive, Writes well
This is such a great little pen (and fun to write with too!) for the amazingly low Amazon price of approximately $10. So much to like here: this particular pen has a <M> medium nib, which is my favorite for this pen. It can use and ink cartridge or a converter and as you can see, this one has a converter; itโs almost out of ink but from the writing sample you can see I have use bottled ink with the converter (Diamine Emerald). The barrel and cap have angled sides, preventing it from rolling away like a round barrel can; the cap snaps off and seals tightly; the clear barrel shows the ink color and volume. It is extremely lightweight acrylic, which means I can write with it for long periods of time and not have hand fatigue. It feels good in my small hand posted or unposted, although I like the balance better when it is posted. This reliable little pen is a great way to jump into fountain pens for beginners, especially children. This is the second one Iโve purchased for myself, just because itโs fun, inexpensive and writes so well. Highly recommend.

Good Value for a Daily Use Fountain Pen
I wanted to try an inexpensive Pilot fountain pen to see how I would like the nib. I ordered a pen with a Medium nib. In my experience, most Japanese Medium nibs produce a line width closer to a Western Medium than a Western Fine, and a Japanese Fine is more like a Western Extra Fine with a considerable difference between them. I was hoping for something like a Western Fine, and I was not disappointed. The Medium nib was exceptionally smooth and gave me the line width I was looking for. I ordered a second identical pen to see if my experience was a fluke. The second pen performed exactly the same way, so there seems to be consistency between nibs. Both pens wrote very well straight out of the package. The pens are very light, post well, don't dry out, and are easy to clean out when changing ink. The nib and feed can be removed easily for cleaning by pulling them straight out. The section has flat areas to encourage a three-finger grip, and I find it quite comfortable. The shape of the section makes you hold the pen a certain way, but the nib and feed can be rotated to any position, letting you position the nib perfectly for your writing style. These pens don't have a clip, so if you want to carry one in a shirt pocket, you might want to use a pen sleeve. The clear plastic body lets you check your ink level without removing the barrel. The plastic seems somewhat prone to scratching, but seems fairly durable. A pen sleeve will help keep the pen in good condition. The pen comes with a Pilot cartridge. Pilot sells cartridges in only a few colours, but you could add a Pilot CON-40 or CON-70 converter so you can use any other brand or colour of ink you choose. All in all, I think this a very good, reliable pen at a very reasonable price.

Pen already opened.
The product itself is very good! I love Pilot Kokuno Fountain Pen. Ink glides smoothly. I gave only 3 stars, however, because the pen came to me already opened and ink cartridge already plugged-in the pen! did I buy a second-hand pen??? Quesrionable seller, in my opinion..
