Scotch Super 33+ Vinyl Electrical Tape, .75-Inch by 66-Feet

I was introduced to Scotch Super 33+ back in 1991 when I installed security camera systems in the San Francisco Bay Area. The small company executive running the business was pretty cheap, but he insisted on using the 33+ for bundling and pulling wires. I have used it ever since for all my own projects. The stretch and adhesion characteristics make this a far superior tape compared to common black electrical tape. Will plain tape provide the 600V insulation? Yes. But will it bundle and hold wires securely for a pull at all weather conditions? Maybe not. For an automotive wiring tape application I would choose 33+ over anything else. The stuff is not low cost, but it is an exceptional product. If my cheap boss would choose it for bundling wire pulls that says a lot. It’s not just an electrical tape. It’s a superior tape for any use. I also used it for on the job bandage applications. A patch of paper towel and a wrap of super 33+ provided an excellent protective covering for my finger wounds and it stayed on the finger all day allowing stretch and yet keeping the bond. This seller offers the 3-pack at a good price a bit lower than Home Depot and I was glad to pick up another 3 rolls for my home use. I keep a roll in the main toolbox, and a couple rolls in my back shop areas so it’s always at the ready. Buy it and use it for life. You’ll be glad you did.

Scotch 33+ is the classic electrical tape used by pros. This and the 88 tape are the go-to electrical tapes to use if you want the best stuff in your work. It's worth a few extra pennies per yard over the cheap stuff that starts to come off seconds after you put it on. You know, the stuff that's so plastic when you pull a piece off the roll it makes a snapping sound like plastic breaking. This 33+ tape can be pulled apart, but it remains intact, and even the stretched part sticks to whatever you're taping. Comes in a plastic case to keep dirt from sticking to the sides of the roll which can be messy. Works well, proper thickness, easy to use and has a permanent place in my toolbox of nearly 50 years working on everything from tractors and bikes to aircraft and sports cars.

This tape is fantastic. I really like how soft and flexible it is to work with, yet it still manages to be incredibly strong. Usually, softer tapes struggle with stickiness, but the adhesive on this holds up great. Then again, it’s 3M, so you already know you're getting top-tier quality. Definitely a reliable go-to tape.

This stuff is so much more flexible than cheap electrical tape. Once you use this kind, you will not want to go back.

I've been doing DIY electrical work for years and always just bought the cheap multi-pack electrical tape, thinking 'tape is tape'. I was wrong. I finally grabbed a roll of Scotch Super 33+ after a friend who is an electrician swore by it. The difference is immediately noticeable. The stretch and flexibility are on another level; it wraps tightly around wires and irregular connections without ever feeling like it will snap. It creates a very secure, sealed feeling. Where my old tape would get gummy and slide in the heat of the attic, this stuff stays put. The adhesion is fantastic, sticking aggressively to itself and to wiring jackets for a wrap that feels truly permanent and moisture-tight. The only reason I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is the price. It's definitely a premium product with a premium price tag to match, making it a bit much for simple tasks like bundling cables. But for any critical splice or repair where you need to trust the connection, I'm now a convert. I'll be keeping this in my bag for jobs that matter.

3M Super33+ tape is the absolute best tap for electrical work. very easy to apply, very flexible, and excellent adhesive. Don't skip on the electrical tape quality when making connections or repairs, you will regret it in the long run. Highly recommended
