Very smooth tea, good quality. I purchase this ea for my kombucha brews because it is strong and can be used for multiple brews without becoming bitter. This looseleaf tea is a totally different experience from grocery store tea bags and worth every bit of value. Buy some individual bags and use this but only fill 1/3 - 1/2 of the bag as it swells as it steeps! You won't be disappointed

We love making kombucha with the Mixed Tea Blend from Raw Brewing Co., it has the perfect blend of green, black and white tea for our kombucha starter. Love the fact they have the 1/2 gal to 5gal ingredients amounts posted on the back of the bag as well as easy to follow instructions on how to brew your kombucha. This has become our go to starter for kombucha due to its great flavor and quality of organic ingredients. You will definitely have a happy belly with this brew.

The new scoby created from this tea looked very healthy like those you see on the internet...bright white and no spots. It seemed to brew a little faster then the pure black tea I was using so it was a little more sour after 10 days then I'm used to even though the temperature in the house was cooler. Maybe this tea had more nutrients? Aside from the little extra sourness (which I didn't mind), I honestly didn't taste any difference between the quality black tea I was using and this blend. But I liked flavor of the tea I was using and I liked this blend just fine. Keep in mind this is finely cut so you will need a disposable or reusable tea back or extra fine mesh strainer (don't use plastic!). So, flavor was good, the scoby grew better, and this blend seemed to be priced well (I paid $12/lbs, most others are asking $16 to $20 for their blends). So I plan to keep ordering this blend as long as the price stays about the same or equally low in comparison to others over time.

This is excellent kombucha tea. I highly recommend this brand. I only steep for 3 minutes because 4 makes it bitter.

You get what you pay for. This IS a screaming deal. But the tea and resulting Kombucha isn't on par with the more expensive tea I started with from "The Kombucha Shop". I also do not like their paper tea bags which are fragile. This tea is made of very tiny pieces, making it even more likely to break into the liquid. So this isn't 'bad' bad, and it makes OK Kombucha, but you can do better flavor-wise if you are willing to go with a higher quality tea, which I recommend. I'll finish this bag but will not reorder.
