Dee Zee DZ701 Under Seat Storage Drawer F150 15+/Super Duty 17+

Looks great! Didn’t even know they existed! Works great on my 2023 super duty!

Even though I bought this as a “damaged” package from Amazon and that I had to fix some of the rivets in the enclosure this DeeZee under seat drawer is absolutely fantastic in my F250 and is one of the best additions I have done to my truck for storage. I get absolutely no rattles or noise from it at all and I drive down rough country roads almost daily. It holds everything I need and the access from either side is just a bonus.

Super simple design I wish it had a better locking system hence the four stars.

Installation was not without a few challenges. The fit is not really that great and the mounting solution is less than ideal.The drawer hits the door so be warned. I’ve now got a terrible scratch on the speaker cover on the driver’s side.Driving on normal and well maintained roads causes a terrible rattling. I can only imagine this will be unbearable on poor roads.I’m going to go back to just a plastic tray style storage container.

Installation is not bad, however the lock is not functional, a simple jiggle of the drawer and you can pull it out while locked. My main goal was to secure firearm from the kids in the back seat, so it works for my purpose but would expect the locks to work for a product at this price point. It is a little stiff to get out and I sprayed the tracks with white lithium grease, slides smooth once you get it started though... overall I like the design and that it is only accessible from outside, once you open the door... i have had no issues with noise or rattling and installed with the two brackets, per the instructions... might add a rope pull handle to make it easier to get out in a hurry....

DeeZee metal under seat Storage Drawer is made in the USA, fulfilled by Amazon, and was delivered on a Sunday in less than two days with no shipping damage. The packaging could be a little more bullet-proof by adding full-length styrofoam edge guards inside the box. I can see how one of these could occasionally arrive with shipping damage.The Drawer was $341.99 in July 2024. It bolts very well in a 2023 F-150 Lightning Pro with two supplied brackets and hardware, leaving about 1/2 inch clearance under the seats, about 3/4 inch setback from the front edge of the seat cushions, and about a 6 inch captured gap behind the Drawer, directly under the seat backrests. The brackets are adequate for the job, they may be designed for universal fit and could be better. The hardware for mounting the brackets just uses regular nuts, does not include lock nuts or lock washers - bit of a head-scratcher. I over-tightened the provided nuts and bolts until I get better hardware from Lowes.It's the only locking metal drawer I could find and since it's a drawer I don't have to lift one or both rear seats to get into it. As others have noted it could be a little larger for the space it fits within, but lots of things still fit inside the internal drawer dimensions (length 52") x (width 10-7/8") x (shallow depth 3-1/2") x deep depth 6-1/4"). The Drawer comes with a full size rubber tray and 3 plastic dividers.In the F-150 Lightning the Drawer can be pulled out at least 24" without interfering with the door (bottom pocket) with the rear passenger door swung all the way open. The slide action is adequate and is of the floating plastic sled-in-metal-groove type - they are not ball bearing slides. Only time will tell how the plastic sleds wear over time, my guess is they will last at least two years with routine use. If you pull the drawer out more than a foot you need to wiggle it a bit to get the sleds to re-engage, and this is easy to do.There are two lock cylinders at each end, they can be engaged/turned without locking them with the key, in order to keep the drawer from sliding around while driving. You only need to turn (or unlock, if it is locked) the side you wish to access to pull out the drawer. I saw a review saying the Drawer rattles during driving, but after about 1,000 miles I still haven't noticed. But I also haven't taken it off road.I'm giving this product 5 stars for being decent quality and the only known locking metal drawer. For the F-150 Lightning Pro, it's much better than the top loading variety in my opinion.

Installed in brand new F150. The box is an absolute rattle trap. Doesn't matter if it is empty, full, etc. With both sides latched and locked, you can still slide the drawer open about 1 inch in either direction.
