how does it work with Time Warner?

This works great for TWC, as long as you are buying a plan with 100Mbps or less. Even though the specs indicate a maximum download capability of 340Mbps, this is either not true, or TWC limits the throughput per channel. Modems with 8 channels down (like this) are limited to 100Mbps. You need 16 channels for the 200 and 300 Mbps plans. Check TWC's compatible modems list before buying.

Not only can you, you should! I went from a Arris TG862G to this modem, and although the specs are similar, the performance has been a huge improvement. Further, if you are renting, it will pay its cost back in 13 months - and as this is a newer product, you will likely have it for years.Also, as a PS - Comcast had no problem accepting this device
