Is the inside totally stainless steel? Some kettles say stainless but have plastic window and top or even plastic inner!

The only parts which are plastic within the kettle that I could see was port holes for the measurement, and a bit of the top on the handle side. Everything else is stainless steel. It boils water, and doesn't taste like plastic, so there's that.

Can it be used for ground coffee. (answers from experience only, not speculation)

Yes good for tea and coffee. I really like this kettle.

Can the glass kettle be used without the tea filterinside?

Absolutely. I use mine every morning without the filter for my coffee.
