MITSUMOTO SAKARI Detachable Poultry Shears, Kitchen Scissors

I've been cooking for more than 40 years, and have cut many things in the kitchen in that time, but never as easily as with these shears. I finally got tired of trying to spatch-cock a chick with dull shears. I decided to spend a little more to get, what I hoped, would be a quality pair. Wow! I wasn't ready for these. The first time I tried cutting the backbone out of a chicken, it literally cut as easily as going through thin cardboard. I was truly shocked, so I actually cut the backbone in small pieces to just see if they would do it: yep! It even easily cuts through styrofoam (you know, the little trays that meats come on) very easily. Seems like d'uh, but my previous several pairs of shears didn't handle it well. These are sharp over the entire blade length, and sturdy enough not to deform or twist if cutting something thick. I really like the fact that the two blades easily come apart for cleaning. Who knew?! Don't hesitate, buy this now! You won't regret it.

I own many knives and shears. I absolutely love sharpening using different grits of stones. These shears are unbelievable. From their slightly serrated edges to their light weight, they cut through rubbery skin as well as most medium size bones. They are a joy when working on lobster and Dungeness crabs. They are also easy to take apart and clean. Lastly, they just look great hanging with my Maglio MagnaCut handmade kitchen knives.

I don't do these Amazon reviews very often as the quality of some stuff is questionable. However, these scissors are a bit pricey but well worth it. then cut thru most others with ease and the easy unlocking makes them super simple to clean in the dishwasher. If you're looking for your last pair of scissors, I highly recommend you get these for around the house, for open plastic packaging, for cutting roses, for cutting meat; for cutting simple paper; all around it is perfect. Its solid construction is a little heavy, and always sharp. It is premium quality metal so it won't rust either. Highly recommend.

Great scissors with large eye grips for your hands making it have good leverage to power cut through any thing you want to cut. I use them in the kitchen for snipping up herbs, cutting apart chicken or meat before cooking, opening up packaging, etc. They are easy to clean and I wash them after each use with hot water and leave them to dry with the blades open in the strainer. I do wish the blade length was longer especially when I'm cutting up a chicken.

Rolld the dice on expensive scissors. Wasn't disappointed! They cut all manor of things in the kitchen and are very sharp. Its great the come apart to wash them under the tap. (Dont dishwash them or they will blunt)
