Is the 72 db output accurate? Nothing is worse than a radio @ full volume (for soft talkers), when an emergency tone blasts out your eardrums.

I bought this for my husband about two months ago. He says the audio was fine for about the first month, but since then the audio has been poor. He can have his radio up as loud as it will go and barely hear anything, if at all. He has followed various instructions on how to clean the tube and work out possible kinks, and the audio is still poor.

is there a mic also or only earpiece?

There is NO mic, it is only the earpiece.

Does this product come with the ear molds already or do you have to buy them separately?

It comes with an ear bud, not the ear molds. You have to buy the ear molds separately unless you don't mind a regular headphone style earbud which tends to block out any exterior sound.

I meant to purchase the two pack, its there a way to "upgrade" without having to return the one that I did purchase?

I am not sure but I doubt it. I have had no dealings with the manufacture since my initial purchase.
