Perfect drive for Ipod Classic
I bought this drive to upgrade my old iPod Classic. I am very happy because it fits and works perfectly with no modifications or adapters required which is what I wanted. The price is right too. It costs about the same compared to buying and SD card adapter along with SD card. I noticed that it loads music faster compared to the original hard drive. I also like that I have more than double the original space which was only 30GB. Important note: If using in an iPod make sure you have the proper opening tools as disassembly can be difficult because iPod is very delicate. After that it is plug and play, when you plug it into the computer iTunes will detect that the iPod will need to be formatted. Once it restores the software it will work normal.

Direct swap with original Zune hard drive, easy to install
I couldn't be happier with this product so far! I replaced my busted Zune 30gb HDD with this 128gb SSD and it worked perfectly and fit within the original Zune's metal casing for storage. It took a total of 20 mins to disassemble and replace. I wish I had this ability 20 years ago when I was using this thing on the daily. I can't speak to lifespan yet, as it's only been a week of use. But so far, I am very pleased with the product.

Used on an iPod Video, 5th Gen (Not 5.5g)
Short review, It's an SSD, and it works. Longer: This review is for anyone thinking of modding an older iPod. (My pictures attached show me using Rockbox, not stock Apple firmware) I bought this to mod my iPod Video, 5th gen. 30gb didn't cut it for me, and this 128gb had just enough free space to hold my music collection, plus podcasts and audiobooks. I have over 11,000 songs (not counting podcasts and audiobooks), and I would *highly* recommend that if you Do have a lot of music, that you install Rockbox and listen to your music with that, as the stock Apple firmware will get very laggy at around the 7,000 mark, even on an SSD. If you do not have Album covers attached to your music, it will run faster, but a lot of music, and a lot of album covers, will slow it down a lot. Prying open an iPod isn't the easiest, but it can be done if you're careful, you won't break anything. It can just take some time. After installing the SSD and turning the iPod back on, just plug it into a PC with iTunes open, and it will say you need to restore it. After it does, you now have a 128gb (actual storage is 118gb) Solid State iPod Video. Like I said though, it may be wise to use Rockbox if you have a lot of music, after playing with the stock software, it's fairly laggy when Browsing your music, and shuffle takes a bit. It will also take a good few minutes to not show Do Not Disconnect when you eject from your PC. It may be wise to install Rockbox before adding your music.

excellent upgrade for mini laptops or slate computers!
This kingspec drive it'S Just the Perfect match for my Motion le1700 slate PC, the size is right to Fit the hdd bay and the rubber seal that help to keep it Safe on Place... the Zif connector was a little hard to open and being so small (smaller and lighter than a cigarette Pack ) I was worried to destroy it but it is really well construed and with some Patience I was able to insert and lock the flat ribbon cable and Reasamble the whole drive Setup. I'm running Microsoft Windows7 ultimate and I use the basic tools from Windows to back-up the Original HDD and restore it on the SSD. The Bios detected the SSD fine and the restore was fast and with out Problems, windows7 Was able to Detect the drive as SSD fine and enable the TRIM Command on start up, My only complain with Kingspec it's that there isn't documentation or Software for the drive (the website only have tech specs on the drive) But microsoft standard driver works fine so it's not a big deal... Now I turn my PC and in 40 seconds its ready to start working, all the applications start almost as soon as I click on the icons and the shutdown time is Just 7 Seconds, and I'm not using the full Potential of the SSD drive because My Bios don't Support AHCI.

Failed after 3 years
Worked fine in a HP 2510p as a boot SSD on Windows 7. Failed after 3 years when the warranty ran out - hence not a suitable, reliable replacement for a slim HDD. Would not trust the brand. Others reported the same. Worried about the other SSD I purchased at the same time. Terribly annoyed to have to reconfigure a new SSD.

Nice Drive - FAST - great netbook upgrade
Felt like a DIY project and decided to attempt to upgrade my HP MINI 1000 netbook and replace it's crappy and slow 16 GB SSD drive with this drive. I wasn't for certain it would work, but after some googling decided to give it a try. Once I got the ZIF cable going the right way, this drive made a HUGE HUGE difference in the speed of the mini. Windows 7 rated it a 5.9 making it the fastest thing rated in the netbook. I am very pleased with the performance of this drive. The unit shipped USPS and required a signiture which caused a bunch of commotion because the post office tried to deliver it to the wrong house and I had to go pick it up because of the post office mistate --> I took off one star because it should have been shipped fedex or ups!! Also there are zippo instructions in the box - just a warranty card, the drive and the ZIF Flex. I had to do some guessing as to which way to put the flex in - got it right on the third try. Overall very nice and fast unit and worked great in the HP MINI 1000. FAST and no more worries about running out of space on the netbook. AMAZON if you are lisiting, stop sending things USPS --> I hate it when you do that! :)

Worked fine for 3 months. Now dead ! UPDATE: KingSpec REPLACED !
This was installed in a 120Gb ZUNE player & worked great for 3 months. Just enough to get past the return time. Now it's dead. I'm trying to find another brand as this certainly did not last. Quality control must not be awake. Learned a $80.00 lesson. Not even going to ask about a replacement. UPDATE 9-5-2022: KingSpec read my review of my defective SSD & REPLACED IT under their Guarantee without a complaint from me. VERY NICE company to deal with. This is about my 4th 128 Gb SSD drive in my ZUNE players with usually no problems at all. Except this one & It is now fixed. I do recommend these SSD's as they are very reliable normally. THANKS KINGSPEC !

SSD drive
I purchased this drive for use for something else and my only fault I broke a vital part to the drive. I did how ever used it and the drive worked before I cause the baler which is the small black part that keeps the zif cable connected snug to the logice board of a smaller device. I have to say the qaulity of the SSD is great and I will have to wait until I order another one.

A parte he puesto otro GB extra (3GB en total) y Windows 8.1 Update 1 64 bits.
