Steve Irwin: He Changed Our World - Steve Irwin Memorial Tribute [DVD]

This DVD is a fitting tribute to an extraordinary man. His vision and commitment to wildlife in particular but animals in general. It was a tragedy when he died so early and these artists have come together to make this moving DVD.

A bit long winded. Its the type of production I wanted to see once but won't watch again. Pleased I didn't pay new price for it.

Having watched the memorial on tv when it first aired, I was delighted to see that it had been released on DVD with the royalties going to Wildlife Warriors. The service was beautiful, filled with memories from his friends and family, as well as music that expressed just who he was. The animals who were present during the service were calm and subdued, as though they knew just whom they were honoring.The personal interview on the DVD are clips from "Confessions of the Crocodile Hunter", a special aired on Animal Planet back in 2004. The clips are short and sweet, though I wish they would have alloted more time for when Steve and Terri talk about meeting each other and their marriage, as well as the birth of their two children...and Steve's explanation of how he wanted Bindi and Bob to take over for him. Those were such tender and sweet moments from the special that would have fit so wonderfully on the DVD, but were cut. Also added to the interview section was the last story of Sui, Steve's dog, taken from an episode of The Crocodile Hunter show. I feel it was a wonderful touch to have his ENTIRE family a part of this DVD, including Sui, who was so important to him.This is a wonderful addition and time honoring memory for any Steve Irwin fan. It's also an inspiration to young and old alike about the importance of changing the world not just for ourselves, but for the glorious wildlife as well.

The DVD was not in its slot and is very scratched as a result

I ordered this tribute DVD for my family for two main reasons. Most importantly because we were all huge fans of Steve Irwin and his TV show. My kids would refer to him as Uncle Steve! The other reason is because the proceeds for the DVD are going to Steve's wildlife park and other animal charities. The DVD is really great. It puts you right in the middle of the Memorial Service held for him in his wildlife park plus shows several clips of Steve at work (on camera and off) and at home with his family. It definitely brought some tears to my eyes on more than a few occasions, but also really paid a great tribute to one of the most interesting characters our world has had the pleasure to know. We sincerly hope his wife and children continue his legacy and look forward to seeing updates on how they are all doing. - Jonathan (Bethlehem Township, PA)

I absolutely loved watching this video. My family and I are very big Steve/Terri Irwin fans and we support the Conservation needed in this world and we work to help as we all should in some small way. The world is ever changing and mother earth is pissed and the animals as well as humans all need to band together to learn to respect the earth and what she gives us. May you all find in your spirits, your souls to listen to Mother Earth and the animals...we need to learn COndervation on all levels if we want our children and grandchildren to have a life .Steve is watching over us all and he is routing for us to help Terri and her family and other conservationists to keep it going.Crickey! we gotta ta!
