Q: are the legs flexible or rigid?

The front legs will move just a little bit but the back legs are sewn in place. You will not be able to make this giraffe stand up. They way it is make, it will have to sit in the position as shown. The legs are stuffed like the rest of the animal.

Q: Have the packaging gotten better with this product ? I need this item but I would hate to order and the neck is bent and the giraffee can’t sit up

The giraffe is "not" defective at all!! My giraffe's neck was also bent when I received it however after gently examining it I found that there is apparently a flexible wire extending vertically within the neck. After I carefully smoothed up the neck smoothing out the wire the neck is perfect. My giraffe sits up perfectly with a perfectly straight neck. I don't understand why the business packages them with the neck bent because after I straightened out the neck I tried fitting it back in the packaging box that way and it fit perfectly. So I don't see any reason for it to be bent at all. But now we all know the bent neck is easily and permanently smoothed out so the giraffe can be enjoyed.
