Works great. It's lightweight, but doesn't feel super cheap. After putting batteries in it I was able to just use it without having to program it. It did not come with batteries (which was stated in the description). All of the buttons seem to work well.

I have an older 40" Toshiba.... best TV ever, it's about 15 years old, and - although not a Smart TV - it's still going strong. Which means that remotes don't last forever. This remote is so much better than the universals that I've gotten at the big box stores. First of all, the price was absolutely right! About one-fourth the price of the one's I've had to buy in the past. And to be honest, I've always hated having to program a new remote, it's just time consuming. So I got this one from Amazon (next day) and I just put it on the side table, hating to have to program it. But eventually, I put in some batteries, pushed the POWER button to start programming, and you know what? It was already compatible with my TV. I didn't have to program a single thing. Made my life a bit easier.

I fully expected to do some kind of search to use this remote. But, I put the batteries in and it worked perfectly! Automatically compatible! Great product 😀

This is the easiest universal remote I have ever owned. It seriously comes ready to use. Insert the batteries and it's ready to go. As long as you have the correct TV, there is no programming. And anyone that's ever had to program one knows sometimes they can take FOREVER. This one literally does instantly connect as if it was the remote that came with the TV. It's just smaller than I would have liked. Of course I knew the size, but the buttons and the writing are tiny and my mom is visually impaired. It is for her and sometimes she can't even tell if it's upside down or not because of the size. But that is absolutely my only complaint. For the price and the ease of use, I definitely recommend

Perfect replacement when the original controller stops working.

Replacement remote. I inherited a Toshiba TV with a basically non-functional remote. Only the volume buttons worked. So, I got accustomed to turning the TV on/off with the manual buttons on the side. Several times this method has failed, as the button seemed to stop working. I tried resetting, unplugging, etc. After letting it rest a few hours, the button would function again. But two days ago, the manual button stopped working again. ( I do realize that the TV is designed to work by remote) I was going to finally put the TV in the trash, but, then I thought I'd buy a new remote first. As soon as it arrived, I put batteries in and the TV came on immediately. Works perfectly

I have an old Toshiba combo TV DVD. The original remote died and I ordered this on hopes that it would work. Sure enough, I but in a couple new batteries, pointed it at the TV and the TV lit up! It works for all the controls and the DVD player. I'm quite pleased that it does work and the price is very reasonable.
