Don’t expect this to taste “just like” chocolate milk. There are definitely trade-offs with this. The pro’s: no artificial sweeteners or flavors, simple ingredients, no fillers or additives. The taste isn’t amazing but it’s drinkable. But in exchange, the con’s are that it’s not very sweet and not a very strong chocolate flavor. I added a little extra sugar and some natural cocoa mix (MUD/WTR cocoa) it was significantly better. I like that this is a little sweet and has a little flavor but I wanted more. But I’m glad that I could have it as-is or add some extra. I’d much rather have a simpler product I can customize instead of one that has too much.

Not sure why this chocolate flavor is different from other chocolate-flavored Vega products, but unless you plan to mix with fruit or something else tasty, don’t expect great things.

On its own in water, it’s kind of dusty and underflavored but also filling and creamy. In a smoothie with milk or milk substitute, it is far tastier.

Formula is NOT the same. Used to be sweetened with coconut sugar which gave this a less sweet taste with some complexity. Now has cane sugar and tastes far sweeter and not in a good way. Bring back the old one!
