Mini Lily Pipe Inflow with Surface Skimmer for Nano Aquarium (17mm for 16/22mm (5/8'' i.d.) tubing)

I had this pipe more than half a year now and it works great. It is sleek and looks really clean. The pipe is thick enough that it feels durable while maintaining a sleek design. Make sure you adject the flow on the bottom vent so the skimmer works well. If the skimmer sinks, make sure there is some air trapped underneath or pipet some air out if the skimmer floats above the water line. The pipe was easy to assemble and great for the value.

These type of skimmers have a huge "fiddle factor." The skimmer working properly seems to depend greatly on the available flow rate of your filter. The reason I removed one star, is that since this product is marketed as "nano," they should take into account users won't be using very powerful filters in combination with this inflow. I was able to hack mine into working by stuffing a piece of filter foam between the acrylic skimmer attachment and the glass tube. That gives you the ability to manually adjust the skimmer where it needs to be sit on the water surface. The quality is still there in the fit and finish of the product. I've used Jardli glass pipes for some time and I'm happy with the quality and price.

This glass suction inflow with skimmer works like a charm. I was using it for a custom filter I made. Skimmer needed a bit of work to get it to float right and after water changes I got a bit annoyed with adjusting the air bubble to float so now I just use a spare suction cup to keep it pushed down a bit under water level. This is no fault with the product just these types of skimmers take a bit of finesse. Overall I love it. If anyone has small shrimp or snails like me I suggest using some sponge material and putting it in the inflow to prevent any babies from getting sucked in. Finally one thing to note is the space between the lily pipe and the aquarium glass is quite large. Keep that in mind if you plan to put it into a small space surrounded by decor, it might not fit. Overall 5/5 from me.

Looks nice and fits well, I still can't figure out how to work the skimmer lol

I have purchased 20 or so lily sets over the years, and this is the first time I am leaving a review. I like 20g long tanks, but for the past years I was not able to find a glass return with skimmer that didn't go too far down into the aquarium. Yes I could find a smaller diameter pipe, but I like to over filter all my tanks. My Fluval 307's come with 16/22 hose fittings. If you see the large shot of my tank, the inlets go down a perfect distance for this popular sized tank. As for the workings of the skimmer, it is the same as any other. It has a plastic dial at the bottom and a plastic skimmer crown. Both function well. I love that the O-ring is clear for the bottom dial. I really have no negatives here. It fits on both rimmed and rimless tanks and the glass is reasonably thick. I am happy I took a chance on this item.
