The size is 11 Oz by weight (313grams, or 0.69 lbs). Not Oz in volume.

Can this be used on firearms? Is it safe inside barrels? Would it need to be removed before firing if applied lightly?

The product is not like "grey paint" as one answer states, not unless the LPS people have drastically changed the formula. It's a translucent amber wax/grease coating. Think of it as more like a modern version of Cosmoline. A little lighter and not as messy. and sprays on so it's easier to use. I would not use this as a general gun lube as it would thicken up badly in cold weather and is too thick even in warm weather to function as a lube. This is a product for long-term storage, and you would want to remove most or all of it when you get ready to use them. I had some steel and cast-iron parts go through a quick flood, and they were untouched by it. Great product!
