LPS 3 - Premier Rust Inhibitor 11 Ounce | MIL-PRF-16173E G2

Here in Tennessee, it gets humid. I have a woodworking shop in my garage. It's equipped with all of the usual suspects that like to collect rust, a lathe, table saw, bandsaw, scroll saw, woodturning tools, tools in tool boxes, chucks, even the bars on my wood clamps. The list goes on and on. And they were all trying to rust. I, do not DO rust. I tried wax, WD40, Boeshield, more wax, a different wax if someone recommended it, I gave it a try. Yet still, surfaces were breaking out in red blotches everywhere I turned. A knife maker recommended LPS3 to me and I decided to give it a try. Application: I apply a generous, even coat with a soft cloth and let it dry. If I'm not going to be using (whatever it happens to be) for awhile I just leave it like that. The surface will be a little sticky to the touch. Before using, a quick rub down with a clean, dry cloth takes away the sticky and it's good to go. Once I'm done with the tool, and clean up shop, I wipe it down again with a light coat before putting it away. I've been using this for over two years now and have not found any rust since I started. It's saved thousands of dollars worth of tools and equipment from rust damage AND saved ME from having to constantly be on rust watch and cleanup. Excellent protection, a quality product. I recommend it every chance I get. Photo: Table saw that hasn't been used in over a year. Any stains visible are from the failure of previous products that I have been unable to completely clean off. No new corrosion.

I have used this for years on the underside of my lawn tractor deck to reduce rust, corrosion and damage from grass clippings. One application lasts the entire mowing season. My lawn tractor is 5 years old and still looks brand new underneath. Especially helpful with wet grass that corroded the deck before .

Great product. Used as undercoating. Easy to apply by yourself. The small straw that is included makes it easy to direct application to smaller areas and limit overspray.

I've been using LPS 3 since 1989 and it's the best I've found so far.

The extension tube was missing. It applied extremely unevenly. Blobs of sealer had to be evened out after sprayed. The end result was good. Once dried, the rust inhibiter was clear, but slightly waxy to the touch.

I recommend this rust inhibitors. Doesn’t make my tools all black and slimy but still protects them.

Nice coating it leaves to prevent rust. Great for firearms.
