Perfect replacement grills
The cold air return grills were old, dirty and rusty so I just replaced them. Look very nice and were simple to change out. Glad I did it.

Nice vent cover but screws don’t fit
The vent cover is great but please note that it only comes with one set of 2” screws which were too long for our space. We had already thrown away the old hardware that was there and we had to purchase new screws that were shorter. Keep your old hardware!

Still make 'em like they used to.
Our 50 year old vent died. I couldn't find one that fit the hole at the home store. I am tired of the plastic ones being broken by kids playing too rough and the metal ones that rust in the bathroom. I found this on line and gave it a try. It is as good as the original one. Glad someone still knows how to deliver a good product.

CAREFUL ON THIS PURCHASE-SCREW PLACEMENTS MIGHT BE DIFFERENT
THE PRODUCT WAS ADVERTISED PROPERLY ON SIZE BUT LACKING THE AREAS OF SCREW PLACEMENT. THIS HAS 6 OUTSIDE HOLES RUNNING ALONG TOP AND BOTTOM OF THE FRAME. IN OLDER HOMES THESE WERE MFG WITH ONE HOLE ON EACH SIDE ONLY. WE WERE ABLE TO MOUNT THESE OKAY,SINCE THE DRYWALL OPENING WAS IN TACT ON ONE, AND WE WERE ABLE TO INSTALL 2 X 4 BLOCKS TO THE STUDS ON THE OTHER.

Sounds like an airplane taking off
Got this to replace the original vent cover, which was so stained I couldn't get it clean anymore.This looks great visually, and was easy enough to install, although it did take two of us to complete due to wall location.The issue is the slat spacing. When the furnace kicks in, they vibrate, reminiscent of a plane preparing for takeoff.

It fits perfect. My old vent was bent in different places and scratched up. I installed this and saw a major difference. Very sturdy and easy to install.
