I bought this mini sand clock as a birthday gift for a friend, and I was honestly blown away when I saw it in person! I had spinal surgery and during recovery I was told to walk 10 minutes after every hour. So I bought this, set it in the counter and told my wife and daughter to harass me any time they saw it empty. This was very effective and kept me on schedule! For how simple it is, it looks great. Decorative on it's own already, but also very easy to decorate.

I didn’t buy this for utility - but for 100% the coolness of it. I have it sitting on my desk and I love it. It looks nice and was worth the money. And yes — it keeps good time. I timed it to find out how accurate it was. It was nearly to the second …. Give or take a few. I’d buy it again. Seems pretty well made!

I love this in my music studio. I’ve had the 60 minute one for 2 years…students love turning it over at the beginning of the lessons. Now my 30 minute students can do the same.

A complement to any desk or bookcase. The simple style will go well with any decor, from antique to modern. I can't vouch for its timekeeping accuracy. Buy a cheap digital watch. I will echo what someone said: It's soothing to watch the falling sand. Like many other buyers, I found mine had come apart in shipping. The (MDF?) end had come loose from the plastic rods. Fortunatly, the fitted foam packing kept the flask from breaking. To repair, be sure to use a glue that will adhere to "wood" and plastic. I used Fix-All adhesive by Super Glue. You'll need good dexterity or a third hand to align the point of the flask with its rubber mount AND all 4 rods with their sockets at the same time. I used large rubber bands to hold it together while the glue cured.

Cute but it doesn’t fully go down and I use it to study and read a book. Not worth the buy to time yourself of anything!
