Very good watch
Good size and fits great on on wrist, it's so informative on my exercises. And it looks really good on my wrist. Battery can last up to seven days. It's very durable. You can also change the strap for different colours. Very pleased with it

Now I am getting used to it this is great and I'm loving it.
I've only ever had a Fitbit Charge 2 which I purchased back in 2017 and then it went wrong. Initially I was going to "go" with another Fitbit because I was familiar with how they worked etc, etc. Then I realised that they had been taken over by Google and that things were on the change so a huge decision lay ahead as I really am not a tech phobe person, if that is the right expression to use!So I wanted something that was not complicated and also - far more importantly - something that was not too big on my tiny wrist as some of these smart watches are just massive and would actually cover the whole of my wrist which would not be good!Bearing all of this in mind I was drawn to the Garmin Vivosmart 5 as it seemed to do all the "things" that my trusted old Fitbit used to do and it looked nice and small on my tiny wrist. This was a huge decision for me but now I am a good 3 weeks into this and it is just utterly amazing - i love it. OK I probably don't understand everything that the different reports tell me but I was expecting that.I did have an issue to begin with because I purchased one which must have been faulty as it suddenly stopped reading the heartbeat so that was returned and a replacement item was sent out the same day which was utterly amazing service. This one seems to be working just fine, so fingers crossed that it does not go wrong. Hopefully not.It took me a while to get used to the screen on the App but when i had to set up the replacement Vivosmart I set everything up slightly differently and so this seems to be working much, much better for me. In fact I am so impressed that I am waiting for my husband's Fitbit to go wrong so that we can change him over to a Garmin Vivosmart 5 too. I am well pleased with this fitness tracker, it does much more than I ever thought it would and I have got used to it so quickly as I was so worried that it would be too complicated and too difficult to operate - but it is just great with the little tap button on the top of the actual tracker.Thoroughly recommend this item if you want something good but easy to operate and easy to understand.

Does the job
I bought this 5 months ago to replace the fitbit charge HR I had previously (two watches having the battery die within 6-8 months drove me to a change). So far so good. It does all the basics that I want, reminds me if I haven't moved, tracks my exercise, links to strava. I went for a swim and like that you can enter your lap length and it will measure the distance for you - saves counting laps. It doesn't seem to autodetect exercise, which the fitbit did, so if I forget to tell it I've started a bike ride, it will give me intensity minutes but no activities, which is irritating. I quite liked the body battery function to start with but I'm not convinced it's actually helpful. It quite frequently tells me I've had a terrible night's sleep, not due to being awake or tossing and turning but due to 'high stress levels', which means I can get a sleep score of 50 with my body battery bottoming out early but still feel as fresh and awake through the next day as if I have a sleep score of 90.Overall, I will probably stick with this next time but the key will be the battery life, so only time will tell.

Great value little health tracker that is more comfortable than my Apple Watch
Great little tracker that does far more than I need it to. I wore an Apple Watch for years, but realized it was actually creating more stress in my life, causing me to worry about all sorts of variables that I didn't need to and the size and weight of it was annoying. However, I do like to keep note of how far I walk and sometimes it's useful to know heart rate etc., so I decided to look for a lightweight, basic, tracker that was accurate. I found this Garmin Vivosmart 5 and it turns out that it does most of the things my Apple Watch can do, but it's it far more comfortable to wear.

Useful monitor with free app data
Not had any problems with it and luckily avoided the recent update issues. It has a much better breakdown of activity (although I still hate the new app layout) than my vivosmart 4 on which the strap gave up, and at least I can replace the strap easily on this model. It gives me enough data to manage my CFS and energy levels, as well as a comprehensive breakdown of sleeping patterns. The watch display is rather small and doesn’t have too many customisable features, but I mainly use the (free) app to monitor the data I need.

A Complete Disaster - Do Not Recommend
First off - I’ve worn a Vivosmart 4 for the last year and was looking forward to the upgraded version. I like the simplicity and sheerness of the 4, as I wear a watch on the other wrist. Since it’s been 3+ years since the last iteration, I was expecting the 5 to be substantially better than the 4.What a shame Garmin! This watch would have been obsolete in 2020. You added almost no new features besides the ability to change the clock face. Does it really need a button? No - the tap to navigate menus worked fine before. You forgot to add the ability to reorder clock face widgets. So you’re stuck staring at data you may not want to see (you can add/rearrange widgets on the sub menus). As far as actual size, it’s almost twice as wide and sits noticeably higher. The black and white screen is light years behind almost all other trackers. The battery life seems to be a joke, since it burned through 10% in 15 minutes of having it sync and going through menus. As far as price, it’s grossly overpriced- it is currently 15£ more than the Fitbit Charge 5 (which in all aspects is a superior product) and close to the same size as the 5.If you’re expecting an true upgrade to the Vivosmart 4 - this is not it.

Really poor battery life
Love the watch as it is much smaller and more comfortable than the Venu Sq I had. It seems to record the data well enough but the battery needs charging every two days. I don't carry my phone around the house with me and I regularly get 'phone disconnected ' and then 'phone connected' messages on the screen throughout the day which cannot help the battery life. I cannot find a setting to stop these messages. I didn't get them at all with my Venu Sq but that was simply too big for my arm and acting as a ligature. Feel a bit stuck, as I love the size of this and the comfort on my wrist, no problems there. I don't wear it at night, so can't comment.

Excellent very useful product
Great product! Really useful and accurate feedback. I bought this product to monitor my stress levels which it does really well but also has lots of other really useful features, such as body battery and sleep score. Better than many of the more expensive similar products on the market.

Good quality, informative and good price
Works perfectly and feels comfortable in hand ( i use it in right hand) - quality and material are fantastic and light weight.. the application is informative and sync correctly with apple health app ( limited access) and paring it with the GARMIN smart scale gives me the full view i was looking for with less price compared to similar premium brands

Loose band.
The device slipped out of the band on the sea and swapped away. I had the original band but that didn’t help.

Elegante y discreto
