A Tool Made for Both Your DIY and Professional
I was looking for a scan tool to perform SRS and ABS diagnostics and functional test. Did an online search for reviews and recommendations. I found a site that did such an task. They gave this tool high marks and a good recommendation. Along with OBD II, SRS, and ABS diagnostics, it can reset SAS on selected vehicles. This tool works on a number of vehicle including European and Asian. I used it the other day to perform ABS bleeding on a Dodge Journey after replacing the HCU. No problem doing this function. System module auto scan is also a nice feature. My take on the Ancel AD610 Elite scan tool. If you want a tool to perform OBD II, SRS, ABS diagnostics and tests, and SAS resets, this is the tool to buy. And to top it off, FREE UNLIMITED UPDATES!!! That seals the deal for me. I don't like to pay the high costs just to keep my scan tool up to date. The box says 18 months of free updates. The website says free unlimited updates. I believe the website. The only thing I wish it had is TPMS diagnostics and tests. But that would only make the tool cost more.

TopTool is a joke, not worth the money.
I bought this scanner first in 2024. The device itself is usable and did well on most foreign trucks and some equipment. It is essentially a glorified code reader, but for the price I was satisfied. Well about 6 months after purchasing this unit, the battery failed. I blamed myself, as I was not easy on this scanner. It got tossed around quite a bit. The same day it failed, I purchased another. This time I treated it much better. It stayed charged and in the case at all times. Only used as necessary. I use this scanner as a backup for foreign units, as I have OEM software for anything common. Surprise surprise, about 8 months after. Battery failed again. This time, I knew I was not at fault. I reached out to amazon, who informed me warranty was through TopTool. I emailed them about the issue. They responded very quickly, I gave them the info needed and they informed me a replacement would be handled and they would send me an update when they had tracking on the new unit. At this point I was happy with the results. One month later and 4 emails later. TopTool finally emails me back, to let me know that I have to pay $30 in shipping. I click on the link sent and it sends me to a freight website that has nothing to do with the scanner. Overall for $800 the scanner is worth the purchase, but the fact 2 died in less than a year and TopTool customer service is a joke. I will not worry with buying another. TopDon offers a very similar product, with actual customer service.

If you’re having trouble with tech support they will make it right once fully explained
Had issues and was able to reach the proper channels above their entry level support. And was able to get things resolved. It is a good product and I have faith restored they actually do care after getting in contact with the next layer of their team. That said the product does take some maneuvering to work for some instances and products I work with since it’s say an Isuzu engine inside a 56kw engine. What used to be getting a code generated by a field rep to clear codes I can clear it and force a regen when wet stacked by being underloaded for too long which happens frequently. Especially when I deal in brands ranging from JCB, Bobcat, JLG, John Deere, MultiQuip, Pallatek Sullivan, and Cummins. I only have Cummins insite as a factory grade software at work and this tablet honestly is by far superior to Texa and their laptop.

amazing just wish 2 things
this tool is amazing, designed for heavy duty vehicles in mind, only 2 things i wish this scantool did was 1 show the results of any test performed, any test wether its koeo or koer when you push start the scan tool says you pushed the start button and you hear the test being performed and after its done vehicle does nothing anymore no results appear of the test, and the second thing i wish the scantool did was tell you when the test was completed, let it sit idle waiting for the scantool to say the test completed but it never did, other then that great tool, (to see test results i gotta go back out and view the codes stored in the ecm)

Best diesel scanner for your buck
This scanner is the real deal. I am a professional diesel mechanic and this scanner does what you normally have to pay over $10,000 dollars on to buy a diesel laptop and then thousands more on software . This scanner regens and also in expert mode removes deep embedded check engine lights and reverses torque derate limp mode

Only communicates with ECM on KW T680--not other modules. Zero support.
I have a 2017 T680 with a Cummins ISX15. This scanner does let you make updates to some of the Cummins engine parameters and reset trouble codes, so it does this stuff much cheaper than paying an annual renewal for Cummins Insite. However here are the bad things: * it seems the trouble codes it shows are not in the proper format for you to look up the issues. I end up using the codes I can read off my Samsara ELD to troubleshoot issues. * It WILL NOT communicate at all with the CECU or cab controller, so you cannot diagnose HVAC issues. * It WILL NOT communicate with the Bendix Wingman controller, so you would still have to pay $600 per year to rent the ACOM software to configure it. Plus buy the $1000 adapter and a laptop if you don't already have those. HOWEVER, THE WORST THING IS THE TOTAL LACK OF SUPPORT. This is why I gave it one star. It seems these guys have not helping you down to a science. If you submit a ticket through the device, you either get: 1) ignored 2) questions asking your truck make, model, and VIN--why doesn't the app submit that information too? then you never get additional responses. If you try to submit directly to them, they then tell you to submit through the app. Oh, and they will always tell you to load the current version of the software even though it has no changes that would help fix the issue you are having. Then you update it and then submit a ticket again and they ignore you.

just enough for it's purpose, but customer service issues
This scanner lacks the superfluous features inflating the price of the more popular scanners, and provides more functionality than necessary to the vast majority of mechanics in the field. It would have 5 stars from me if it wasn't locked out of internet searches and installing other apps from the store. Update: The customer service won't answer questions, and the device doesn't work on everything. It has the ability to read the modules, but often won't. It's a software issue. Features that should be there, aren't. They're available features, but the device doesn't recognize them consistently. The tablet gets stuck in the loading pattern, and required restarting several times. It likes some models of trucks better than others. More "advanced" features, which are actually the simplest programs, don't appear sometimes. Fundamental functions like data reading, and meter functions. The program is clearly biased to manufacturer support. Without a subscription, I'm worried this device will be completely useless. It's beginning to seem like a money grab. I'm still using it to get behind the OEM walls, but I'm not sure if it will continue to do that. Without good customer support, I'm doubtful there will be any solution to the problem. One message from CS simply said that if it fails in the future, there will be another version for me to buy. That really flew a lot of red flags. My confidence in this company has been severely shaken over the time I've been using it. Even the VCI is locked. Ancel apparently expects people to buy all of it every couple of years. I can't recommend this product anymore. There are much less expensive tools that can erase codes, and bidirectionally control regen and things like that, which don't have subscriptions. If that's all you need, then buy one of those cheaper models. If you need all of the functions; buy one with proper support, and pay the subscription. If you want to diagnose the systems properly, get a tool that lets you run any test you want, rather than just the ones it wants you to. ...or whatever. Buy whatever you want. I'm sure you can make your own decisions.

Just like my mechanic's
In short, just like my mechanic's unit without having to pay a diagnostics fee. Easy to use, it does everything I researched. The screen is crisp, coloured and bright making it a more modernized version - on screen at least - than the more dot matrix screens I'm accustomed to seeing in older garages. Usage is very straightforward and intuitive and the buttons responsive. The unit itself feels well made and fit for a garage, check out the posted pictures. It's lightweight so it's not difficult to handle, but it feels sturdy enough and is cladded in protective sides to and grips so that it should last as long as the internals hold up. The included carrying bag is a nice touch and bonus as I didn't see it in the pictures. It also comes with a included 8gb micro sd card that I was not expecting. The cord is thicker and more robust than I anticipated and long enough that I can use it comfortably in the seat with room to spare. Doesn't need batteries to use, just plug ang play. In use, it does everything from clearing fault codes (gives you a list of DTC for reference) to being able to diagnose and pinpoint exactly where the trouble is coming from. Eg, being able to determine exactly which sensor is faulty so you don't go replacing wrong ones left and right. I compared it to a much more expensive unit and the reliability is on cue and matched up. Note: Be mindful that it's only designed to read Asian imports 2003 to 2016, European imports 2001-2016 and American/Domestic all the way back to 1996 and again till 2016. Past that, it'll diagnose check engine lights on both OBD 1 and OBD 2 vehicles in the included list and erases ABS and SRS codes for OBD 2 vehicles (as well as being able to temporarily toggle the ABS and airbag system). For OBD 2, it can do all ten test modes and has the ability to display that data not only in text but graph as well, both printable. You can use the scan tool to momentarily activate certain components to check on them - say replays, switches, etc. Basically this seems to be the sweet spot between affordability and functionality, something you can use that rivals most independent garage units without having to break the bank. So far the updates and support has been excellent. There's free official updates to take care of bugs and further vehicle databases.
