Extremely effective
I donโt normally write a review in a product but in looking at my options for weed control, granules were just no longer a cost effective option on my 1/2 acre lawn. In an attempt to acquire a commercial product available for consumers, I came upon this. Although a bit more labor intensive than pushing a spreader around the yard, it was EXTREMELY effective against all the dandelions and clovers that were taking over. It does take about 30 days to work but it was apparent it was doing its job the next morning when all the clover flowers were already drooping over. After around 30 days of application, I can kick the dandelion base and it turns to dust. Expect that after 30 days, youโre going to have to walk around a spot treat the missed areas. It even killed the blackberries and ferns. As the bottle stated, I covered around 20,000 sq ft with a 2 gallon sprayer. Be cautious around your plants you donโt want to kill, it will do its job on whatever it touches. Do not spray on a windy day. I have also read good things about the bottle you attach to the garden hose and apply that way but I figured this was a good entry into the product and I will be continuing to purchase this for my weed control.

Good choice
I like Ortho and using thier hose end spreyer makes it an easy to use product but somehow does not seem as effective as it used to be

Worked Well on Spurge
Had a severe spurge infestation in my lawn this year. Mixed 3 oz to a gallon in a tank sprayer. Applied when daily highs were in the low 90s paying particular attention to spraying the spurge plants. No rain or sprinklers for 2 days thereafter. Got visible results (slight wilting) in about 24 hours. A week later the results were even better. Good stuff but you have to be patient. It's slow. Also need to use a pre-emergent herbicide in addition to Weed Clear to keep the seeds from germinating and coming back. Otherwise you'll have a lawn full of weeds the next year.

Weeds Beware "Ortho" is in the air.
I have used many products to kill Dandilions here in the midwest from cheap to expensive and the Ortho Weed killer for lawns with the "yellow cap" worked well for me. I had a rental with a yard half filled with dandilions so I purchased the 32oz Ortho Weed killer for lawns and a 1 gallon pump sprayer. The mix was 2oz per gallon of water. I walked the yard spraying every dandilion I saw right after it had been mowed. About a week later I returned and saw the dandilions wilted and dying on the ground. So after the mower came by again I sprayed a second time walking the yard hitting any I had missed. The spray was used according to directions and applied on a dry warm day. Results for me were very good. So good in fact I purchased a second bottle to use on my primary homes lawn and same results within a week or less dandilions were no more. The spray also kills many other weeds which I'm sure I will benefit from. And as for the grass the Ortho Weed Killer for Lawns spray didn't seem to affect the grass. I wetted every dandilion directly and I don't expect to see them come back soon. I would recommend and have recommended this product to friends.

BEWARE!! Looks watered down in bottle
I've been using Ortho Weed B Gon (that's what they used to call it) for about 40 years and my dad used it before that. I was doing some yardwork for a friend and brought one of the four bottles and sprayer with me. When I poured the liquid into the sprayer, it was almost clear, just a slight brown tint and thin. This stuff has ALWAYS been very dark brown and a bit thick and very aromatic when spraying. I used it anyway because I was away from home using it. When I got home, I opened another bottle (I purchased 4) and it is the same. I don't have much confidence that this will work like it used to. Of course now that I've used one bottle and opened another, I'm sure I won't be able to return the three remaining ones. Very disappointed. Guess I'll go back to purchasing from home improvement stores.

Ortho Could Do Better With Labeling Instructions
Wanted to get rid of stubborn lawn weeds like chickweed, clover and oxalis. Read the intructions attached to the bottle over and over. No where did it list the amount of concentrate to mix with a gallon of water. Went back to Amazon website and asked Alexa. Turns out it is 2 tablespoons per gallon for northern grasses. Mixed it up in tank sprayer and did my spot treatment of the lawn. After three days I did notice some results with the weeds beginning to show signs of dying. Ortho could do better with labeling instructions
