love them!
Good quality paint. Iridescently pigmented and lots of mica flake. The flake is fairly fine and spreads evenly in washes. I can tell there is a lot of flake because it absorbs a bit oddly compared to other watercolors, it kind of puffs up and separates when a droplet of water is added to the pan. I usually use an eyedropper to dampen paints a moment while I Sketch my design, then paint once the water takes up the pigment and softens it. With these, I do need to take a little extra care mixing on my pallette, and also smooth out the cake of paint in the pan if using it on the brush directly. It handles a bit like a thicker type of paint because of the flake.I like using them in skies or on water surfaces to add a little extra gleam and luminosity, so I tend to thin them out a good deal and.mix with other colors. They hold up well and blend well without losing their sparkly quality combined with other paints.I also have the box of various blacks, and experimented mixing these with those on the page and ended up with profoundly 'velvety' luminousity. Like a photo of a velvet dress or curtain. Lovely. I will be buying more of these when they run out, which probably won't be anytime soon... They are large 2cm x 3 xm pans, about half full, for a total of 4-5 mm depthof driet paint. They do not stay sticky like sugar based or gumarabic based binders. The pans are firm and tackless when dry. Would highly recommend.

Gorgeous shifts, but best when used as transparent wash
These watercolors are stunning. The color shift is fantastic across the whole range. The paints rewet incredibly easily to a creamy consistency, and they flow much better than I anticipated. They're beautiful on black paper, as one would expect, however, I'm finding that I like to use these best as a light transparent wash over a traditional painting on white paper. The paints add a shimmer to birds and reptiles without being garish. Lovely accent set to have, I'm so happy that I purchased it. I also purchased the set of 6 black paints from the same company and they're even nicer than these. I highly recommend both sets.

Beautiful high quality mica interference sparkle, large pans, easy rewet.
These iridescent mica based sparkly watercolors are best used on dark surfaces. I love them in my toned tan sketchbook, or over darker colors of watercolor. They are perfect for adding a touch of sparkle to a painting of a hummingbird or butterfly. They do not show up well on white paper and that is pretty standard for what is commonly called "interference" colors in most other paint brands. They have a slight shimmer in direct light, and from an angle they flash pretty colors like pink and gold. Hope the pictures are helpful in clarifying the effect and expectations of how they look on different papers :)

Add some shimmer
Fun paints that add a bit of shimmer to a watercolor. Easy to use. I have not put these over another color. I have just used them next to other colors.

The colours are very pretty but it's really hard to see anything on the paper without extreme angles. It does look really nice if you mix it with other colours for some sparkle, though.
