However, some users report occasional leakage issues and difficulty in filling it to the top.I've been using this Lixit Wide Mouth Small Animal Water Bottle (64oz) for a little over 2 months and I can relate to both the good and bad reviews! The bottle is great because of how big it is, I only have to refill it every 5-6 days for a cage with 3 guinea pigs (though I do have other water bottles in the cage, they prefer this one most). And because the mouth is wide, it's not hard to clean either. The not-so-great part is it's quite a process for me to get the bottle to not leak. You have to establish the air vacuum in the nozzle just right in order for the bottle to not continuously leak. And it usually takes me a couple of tries before I can get it right. But when I do finally get it, the bottle doesn't leak! In all the times I've had to refill this bottle, I've only ever established the vacuum the first time once, so it does take a lot of patience to get it right. There are detailed instructions included, but what I do is fill up the bottle to the top (or as close as you can since the opening is at an angle), secure the top tightly, squeeze the bottle so that a bit of water comes out of the nozzle, turn the bottle over (so that the nozzle is pointing down), attach it to the cage, and see if the nozzle is dripping water. If it is, squeeze the bottle (while it's still attached to the cage) a little bit and see if that establishes the vacuum (which you can hear/see when it happens). If that doesn't work, remove the bottle from the cage, turn it over (so the nozzle is at the top), squeeze the bottle so a little water comes out of the nozzle, turn the bottle over again, re-attach the bottle to the cage, and see if it's stopped leaking yet. If not yet, squeeze the bottle a little bit. Repeat these steps until it works! I usually have to do this 3-4 times before I get it right, but the bottle does work and it's worth it to have a big bottle that I don't have to refill every other day (as I do with the 12oz bottles). I do recommend this bottle, but have patience!

These POUR out water from the spout. It was not even a lead it straight drained at a rapid rate as soon as I put it upright. I tried to remove the lid and put back (maybe it was not tight enough?) same thing. Tried less water, same thing. Tried holding at different angles, same thing. The product is defecti9ve and does not work. Did not even try the other one I purchased because even if it works, a 50% reliability rate is very poor for this type of item. I need something that is going to definitely not make me have to do returns on a regular basis as I have a lot of animals and need reliable water bottles for them. Being without water for even a day can be fatal for animals - especially in summer. I definitely do not recommend this item to others looking for a stable source of water bottles for small animals.

I followed the included instructions, and after a few tries, I was able to create the vacuum seal that prevents the bottle from leaking. If you don’t follow the included instructions, it WILL leak! Take the extra 30 seconds to install it properly and it will work as intended. My rats love it and it takes them days to run out of water.

This water bottle is very functional. It will drip a bit when you first install it but it self regulates after a minute or two. It's great for outdoor use.

Love this waterer! At first I was concerned because it leaked from the drinking spout when we set it up. But it didn't take long before the leaking stopped and it's not been an issue since! I love knowing that I can leave my rabbits for a day or 2 and they will have plenty of water.

The person that designed these has never really used them for long periods with live rabbits. I have tried to use these bottles for three years. They are guaranteed to leak after a few weeks. If you don't mind completely refilling these bottles daily, purchase them and enjoy the misery. If you like the idea of only having to refill them when they are drained by rabbits drinking, then shop elsewhere. The bottles have all of the fail points on the bottom (when hung). The plastic caps are soft and will warp over time, and the threads will fail The necks of the bottles are also soft so they too will warp over time. Needless to say, warping and failed threads result in leaks. You have to completely remove the bottle from the cage to refill it. The designer should have engineered the bottom of the bottle (when hung) to be sealed completely, and should have put the fill hole at the top (when hung). Needless to say, the metal tubes are perfect for freezing solid when the temperatures drop (though this is understandable because rabbits chew on everything that they can reach). Would definitely not recommend!

Sorry but I could not get these to stop leaking. Sent them back.

Great water bottle for larger pets. I use it for my ferrets as a backup water source. They have a bowl but dig in it and spill that water. The bottle hardware was a little bit harder to install on the cage than others, but still easily done. I have it attached to a critter nation. The bottle does not leak if you follow the directions. It WILL leak if you put cold water in it, they all do, because that's just physics. It does drip for a few minutes, until it seals.

Diese Flasche ist vollkommen da Schrott einmal gefüllt und zusammengebaut ist sie undicht sie tropft vorne aus dem Metallstift würde ich niemand weiter empfehlen diesen Schrott zu kaufen
