I love this pasta
This purchase was the first time I had ever bought a Banza product, so I figured it would be best to get the variety pack so I can see which type works best for me. I didn't even know products like this existed. I just thought pasta was pasta. That was until I found that I suddenly was allergic/sensitive to a million things and had to restructure my diet. I am sensitive to pretty much all fruits, vegetables, and rice. I was somewhat sensitive to wheat, but that is not an issue anymore. Either way, some of the best sources of fiber were ruled out of my diet just like that. Then I stumbled upon Banza Chickpea Pasta. The main selling point for me was that it's a fairly safe food in terms of allergies/sensitivities. I read that even people that are allergic to everything (me) can most likely eat chickpea products - while that may or may not be true, it turns out that I have no issues with it. I was happy that it was packed with fiber since I needed a solid source of fiber after losing most of my sources due to sudden sensitivities. I was even happier to see that it was also packed with protein as I enjoy weightlifting and am always looking for whole-food sources of protein. I don't have a gluten allergy or intolerance, but I was trying to limit my intake while my body was in that sensitive state post-surgery (suffered from leaky gut for months afterwards), so this product being gluten-free was good. The first time I tried this it was hard to eat. I used to eat regular pasta plain (don't care for tomato sauce), so I figured I'd try this plain. Yuck. I needed something to take the bitter taste away and make it so it wasn't a chore to eat it. Barbecue sauce makes everything better, so I squirted a little in my bowl and mixed it up. It sounds gross, but I really like it. I only use a little bit - just enough to mask the weird taste. Just enough to make it enjoyable. This chickpea pasta is now a staple in my diet. I usually prep my meals for the week on Sunday, but this pasta is an exception as I only cook enough for 2 days worth of this stuff. I'm sure it could go longer in the fridge, but I'm not sure how the texture and quality would be as it is a bit different than regular pasta. It's quick enough to cook it up anyways so I don't mind doing another batch on Tuesday night. When I heat it up at work, I just splash a tiny bit of water in there for it to soak up while heating and it's great. No different than just after cooking. Bottom line: safe food for me with all my allergies/sensitivities, great source of protein, great source of fiber, non-GMO, keeps well in the fridge, quick to cook up, tastes good when you prep it right and use something to mask the natural plain flavor of it, gluten-free as a bonus

worth it
If your looking to lower your cholestrol, these are a great substitute. I was pleasently surprised how good they were. The only thing is that it doesn't seem to absorb the sauce in to it. Short cook time. (don't overcook). It's a good source of protein and it's much better for you than regular carby pasta.

Personal preference.
I like them, my wife less so. They are better for my blood sugar than wheat pasta. I tend to cook them longer than the box recommends.

Reliably good and versatile
A family favorite that both of us can enjoy. Many GF pastas do not hold up well, especially for reheating leftovers. Banza is not wimpy!

Chickpea pasta surprised me
I developed a gluten allergy about 20 years ago. I tried a box of the Banza gluten-free chickpea pasta and fell in love. I prefer the Banz texture to that of rice flour gluten-free pastas, which tend to be mushy. This pasta has higher protein and fiber content than any other gluten-free pastas I'm aware of. I'm not a fan of chickpeas in their whole cooked form -- I find their texture troubling -- but I adore them as this pasta. It cooks quickly, and the six-pack on Amazon is MUCH less expensive than it is locally to me.

tasty and high in protein
i found this to be tasty and high in protein. The box is half the size of regular pasta boxes, so it's a bit pricey. On the other hand, for one cup of pasta at 20g protein, for 90 cents that is still an excellent deal in my food plan. i found it to be tasty, even with just plain butter (fake butter for me, allergic to dairy) and powdered chicken soup mix (think consomme or bouillion). I stay away from red sauce on pasta because it makes my face break out, too acidic the tomato products for me. It is also tasty with my spicy peanut sauce. If i have one cup of the pasta (20g protein) with tuna on it (6 g protein) then that is 26 g protein which is half a day's protein right there. I am happy and will continue to purchase. However to save money definitely get the 6-pack. huge price savings. EDITED: the protein count for a single serving is actually 11 g. Four servings per box. So be careful reading the protein count on the side of box, it can be a bit misleading. Still a good amount of protein, i will continue to purchase.

The pasta is pretty good
Tried Banza pasta for the first time today 7/11/24 the taste is pretty good. My only issue is the amount of pasta provided in each box. Why is it only 8 ounces per box? Eight ounces only serves two people for dinner for the price itโs extremely expensive. Trying to incorporate a healthy diet but with these prices itโs hard to budget food like this.
