Monster Boomerang Neckband Bluetooth Speaker, Wireless Wearable Speaker, Portable Speaker and 12H Playtime, IPX7 Waterproof, Neck Speaker True 3D Stereo Sound, for Home Sport Outdoor, Black

This is my first "neck speaker" and I'm happy to report it does exactly what I wanted. I don't like earbuds, and sometimes I don't want to wear full headphones. These neck speakers provide excellent sound for my needs (usually just listening to podcasts around the house). Battery life is good and Bluetooth connectivity is excellent (I've had no annoying issues with Bluetooth, which is more than I can say for many of my devices). You turn them on and they connect to your Bluetooth source in seconds. These are ideal for listening to podcasts while working/relaxing in the garage or around the house. You get great sound quality while also keeping your ability to hear ambient noise around you. They are reasonably lightweight and comfortable. Could the controls & features be better? Of course, there is always room for improvement. However, these cost a fraction of my more expensive headphones and earbuds, and they really punch above their weight class. I have no idea who owns the "Monster" brand these days, and I don't really care. This is a very good product that delivers strong value for money. At the price I think they are a good deal. I liked them so much I bought two pair -- just because I wanted to have an extra.

First neck speaker for me.... the price was right on special. Build quality is good. Sound quality is very good though I have no comparison neck speakers. I use this mostly for listening to baseball games and podcasts. Phone calls as well. It totally serves its purpose: I am hands free but not shut out from all ambient sound... I can still hear things around me which means my life is healthier and safer (I tend to break things when I wash dishes with headphones on...lack of ambient sound makes me more clumsy). The weight is fine. I can listen for extended periods of time. People around me can faintly hear what I'm listening to but barely. That said, this device needs somehelp: 1) no mute button. That is a major bummer since it means I have to have my phone with me to quickly mute something. If I'm using it and someone in my house wants to talk with me, I have to mute my phone. That makes no sense in the modern world of bluetooth when muting from the bluetooth speaker is standard. 2) no control to audio source- no pause, etc. Again, simple to do, not sure why it is not on this device. 3) When the system starts up or shuts down, it speaks very loudly. That defeats the purpose of a neck speaker. 4) When it first connects to the audio source, things are weird. First, the volume starts at a set volume (loud) which defeats the purpose of the device. Second, the frantic attempts to lower the volume right away don't work. It takes a few seconds for the controls to work. This is a bug and is annoying. 5) Battery life could be better. There is no warning that the device is running low. Again, simple things that could probably be fixed with a firmware update. In fact, most/all of these problems could be improved with a firmware update. Monster, please improve this product!

Wireless Monster Boomerang Neckband Speaker is a very nice and innovative option for a comfortable, private video listening experience which makes no compromises with the full audio range of your content. This is a premium quality device. It is very comfortable and fairly lightweight. The shape follows your shoulders and chest to distribute the weight and ensure a good fit. The upward-firing speakers direct their output toward and in front of your ears, giving you the sense that the sound is coming toward you and around you. If you like listening to great audio while moving around, but don’t want to have your ears constantly covered, these Boomerang neck speakers are awesome. Great audio for anything you’re listening to, great battery life, and a comfortable all-day fit. All in all very happy with my purchase.

Y'all, I'm a large man. I'm 6'3", 275lbs. My neck is nearly 20 inches wide. You may see this device hang loosely upon all the video reviewers, but this thing fits me like a choker. Not super tight, but it cradles my neck. That being said, the sound is terrific. The bass is prominent out of the box and you'll likely need to tune it to your preferred settings. The problem about all that is, I feel every bass hit, no matter what, from my clavicle, to my neck, to my lower jaw. It shakes me like a shock collar. No joke. I'm not going to downvote this product at all because I assumed this would happen due to my large size, but I just want to verify it with those of you who are like me, big people. It can be very jarring if it straddles your throat. Top review due to sound. I tested out a movie with surround settings and it was impressive. For the price, I don't know if you can actually beat this.

The sound quality of these is over the top! If you turn them up while wearing them, the base vibrates. Just WOW! Rock on! I could do without the person telling me that the power is on or item is paired. That is disturbing & I was hoping to lose this feature from my previous set. No such luck. The announcement is loud, so if I am trying to be quiet, it's not possible. The battery doesn't last as long as my previous set, but a good 8 hours, so pretty good. It does depend on volume. Overall, I am thrilled with the sound & how comfortable they are. I know some folks who will be thrilled with these as Christmas gifts.

Great wearable speaker that I used when working at amazon warehouses. It was lightweight enough that I didn't notice it after wearing it for hours. Once I left it turned into a audiobook speaker that I wear when I clean the house or do work in the garden. The material that's against your body is slick and doesn't encourage sweat or get hot. Its not too flexible and would probably break if bent improperly but that's to be expected. It's very hardy and very reliable. If I had to change one thing it would be the sound that plays when you first turn it on. The noise and the voice are louder than id like with no way to adjust it.

I bought this neck speaker when trying out a few, it has by far the best sound quality of any others i have tested out and battery life is decent....unfortunetly none of that matters when it constantly disconnects and tries reconnecting to your device, random voice suddenly saying "discovering" when what? i thought i was already connected? It will do this randomly and constantly during use. Makes it unusable. I should have returned it when it 1st did this right away but i thought maybe it was a fluke and I only use the neck speaker intermittently It was too late by the time i realized it was an ongoing issue.

This neckband speaker has great sound given it's size. However, it is not well suited to loud environments, as it will only last up to five hours on full volume. Additionally, if you use a volume booster, this play time will shorten even further, and the audio may get tinny at times. I work in a machine shop, and we are not allowed headphones, so this is as close as I can get without going to a full-size speaker, which is also not recommended in the shop. My audio is usually pretty good (I tend to listen to podcasts, so depending on the podcast's recording volume, it can be difficult to hear even with volume boosters). I have a second Monster neck speaker that charges as I listen, and I simply swap them out when the battery is fully discharged. If you're looking for a simple speaker to go where you go, this is perfect, and the Monster is always at the top of their game, so the price is acceptable.

Only two and a half hours out loud

Sounds amazing, fits comfortably. Use it mostly for yardwork instead of headphones. Only on thing might make it full 5 stars, an option to maybe have small chain at opening so it won't fall off. Otherwise a great product

Just an all around brilliant product. Battery life: 1,000 minutes as advertised, 850 minutes delivered at 2 thirds volume - great performance as expected! Sound quality: if you want your games or movies, with no latency, to sound like they were intended in a very personal space, then this is the audio solution for you! Brilliant 3d spatial sound tuned for quiet environments. Works for most audio applications around the house or garden. Highly recommended from a responsive and proactive merchant! Enjoy!
