Kole Imports Silver Trim Wall Mirror

I was especially keen on writing this review because the previous reviews were extremely split. I hope this one can be helpful. I took a few photos of how the mirror was packaged. As you can see, it was carefully wrapped in two layers of bubble wrap then packed in a plastic envelope. Under the bubble wrap, the mirror is shrink wrapped with protective paper board on the corners. Since I just want this mirror for photography lighting, I have not removed the shrink wrap. The reflection is clear and not warped nor distorted. It works well for my purposes.

I wasn't expecting much for $5. I got a lot more than I was expecting. I was looking for a light weight utility mirror. This fills the bill. It is light weight with a couple of mounting clips on the back and metal trim. I don't know if it is glass or not, seems too light, but I suppose it could be. The most surprising thing was the quality of the reflection. I do not see any distortion. I am using it in place of hand mirror to cut my own hair. I put a loop of string on the back and then hang it from a camera tripod - works great. As a bonus, which I didn't need, it came with an assortment of mounting accessories; wire, wall clips, etc., probably enough to hang two or three mirrors. For my use, it was a bargain.

Decent quality for the money. I needed an inexpensive, sturdy mirror for a child's room but did not want anything that would break easily; this item met those needs.

This product is very cheaply made, and looks like it. The cardboard backing is thin and my finger went through it just handling it; the metal hanger pulled out of the cardboard by the second day, even through I didn’t have it hanging. I thought that it was supposed to be durable, but the mirror shattered by the 4th time that I used it. I am an Occupational Therapy Assistant working with children in their homes, and I was using the mirror during therapy, so that the kids could see themselves while involved in a task. I’m glad that it shattered in my bag, and not when it was close to a child. I would not recommend this product.

There are some very mixed reviews here, so I thought I'd contribute and share some pictures of the mirror that I received. So first of all, I bought it to paint on it, so I didn't really care how great of a mirror it actually is. That being said, it isn't bad. I measured the dimensions and it is 10" x 12" (in fact, it's about an 1/8th of an inch larger in each direction), it is beveled, and it does appear to be glass (although I can't swear to this). It doesn't appear to be warped, it's definitely not just a reflective sticker (although the beveled frame might be a sticker, and is peeling on one of the corners—see pictures), it didn't arrive cracked (it had cardboard triangles covering the corners and was wrapped in plastic), and it is lightweight. It does appear to have a small black scratch somewhere on the glass, although it doesn't feel different, so I imagine it's not on the outermost layer. Basically, it's perfect for what I need it for, and it's a pretty great price. It also arrived promptly—I ordered it with Amazon Prime, so it was guaranteed to arrive in 2 days, and it arrived in 1. That being said, I received it a few days ago and unwrapped it today, so I don't know whether or not it'll stand the test of time. TBD!

Really great buy. Very happy with my purchase not to big and not too small wall mirror looks really great in my bathroom, image looks good when up close but distorted when far away. Great addition to any room. Truly recommend this item. Great size and price!

All our bathroom mirrors are too high for my kid to see himself in. This was the perfect solution. It’s a decent mirror with a clear image. I stuck it to the wall with command strips. I wouldn’t even bother with screws or nails because the paperboard/cardboard stuff on the back probably wouldn’t hold up over time. It’s probably not the sturdiest, but for $6, how much can you really expect? It suits my needs, so I’m a happy mom with a happy kid who can now see himself and properly wash his face.

I didn't have high expectations for this price point... but I did expect it to hang for more than a week, but it didn't. The hanger is a very thin metal loop inside a slit in the thin cardboard backing. A few bumps or some vibration, and the hanger works its way through the cardboard pretty readily. On the bright side, the mirror didn't break when it hit the floor from 5' high. That was good.
